What's the difference between a theist and an atheist trying to convince you that their logic is right?

Oh, and...Who's better? XD.gif dance.gif
Cujiine
An Athiest is someone who doesn't believe in god or a superior being or anything. Neither is better or worse than the other.

Ha ha, you actually made this topic, huh.

Pascal's Gambit comes to mind, in which case, the theist is "better."

Oh boy, you just opened a Pandora's box !

But I must say, thanks to former atheist scientists, philosophers, and scholars... they're starting to realize the Divine master of the Universes.

Divinity is an excuse for something they don't yet know the answer to.

lol

Pure, Light (positive) energy is divinity biggrin.gif

Doesn't take a scientist to figure that one out, unless they want to get technical, then they'll find other answers to pure light energy _smile.gif

Edit:
Even white magic is divine.

A way to be Divine, is to be Enlightened mentally and spiritually.

A Theist brings up evidence supported by religious texts and personal experience.
An Atheists brings up evidence supported by modern science and logic.

Who's better?
Theists, of course. They're only trying to save us. thumbsup.gif

A theist believes that because he believes that the cat is there, it is real.

An atheist believes that because he cannot see, hear, smell, or touch the cat that is is not real.

Neither are correct.

Must've been a dog.

Edit: Ok, I'm curious - what do you mean?
sadolakced acid
A theist relies on faith- they have faith that god is real. It is not supported by fact.

An atheist relies on skepticism- Because they cannot prove the existence of god, god must not be real.

Why are both wrong? Because neither can know whether they are correct, and yet they both purport to be.

THANK YOU! I was hoping for more biased, one sided replies, but you've hit the dot. This thread was thrown into the giant stew of the debate forum to see how many people would throw in their own biased opinions of theism and atheism.
I didn't really expect anyone to say that both have highly speculative ( I want to say illogical, but that might be too much) ideas of the existence of a higher power, but I guess I have underestimated the few that truly have somewhat of a grasp on the bigger picture of things.
