I know exactly what you mean. I like the smell of new books because the smell of the pages is so strong. Not so much for old books, though. Sometimes they smell kind of mildew-y.
Barnes & Noble is my favorite store in the world for a reason. laugh.gif
stephinika

I like the smell of new books. Not so much old books, though. You never know what kind of smell you're gonna get with old ones. My geography book from last year (I got one of the old copies) reeked of men's cologne. It gave me a headache whenever I used it. I should have gotten a new one.

but I like the smell of new books at B&N

lol yes i love the smell of new books. but i'm not too fond of how old books smell. in fact, i checked a book out from 1974 the other day and it smelled pretty rank.

The smell of a book is one of the first things I notice when I open up a book.

I hate the smell of new books. ESPECIALLY textbooks. If they could make it smell like walking into Hollister, (Not that I shop there.. _unsure.gif )I'd smell them. biggrin.gif

blacknailpolish
Mmmmmmm...*imagines smelling a new book right now*

If they could somehow make that smell (and new car smell, and laundry detergent smell, and a bunch of other smells) into something you could smoke, I know a lot of people (myself included) who would be HOOKED.
