Has anyone watched it yet? I watched it a few weeks ago, and have to say that Michael Moore has possibly made me question the Health Care industry sadly. Although I hate Michael Moore with a passion, this movie is worth a seeing. If you have seen, what do you think, and what are your changed and or unchanged views on the health care system?

Hmm... Is this the one about the insurance scamming people?

I remember hearing both Democrats and Republicans praising this thing (if that's even of any significance, I don't remember).

I have not seen it, but I will add it to my movies list. :)

Thats awkward, seeing as US capitol is being bought out by Insurance Companies to keep their mouths shut. Hilliary Clinton being one of them.

But anyways, I've really been wanting to see this. Last week I was skimming through the channels and saw Fox news talking about it... and oh my God. They COMPLETELY ran him into the ground, like they always do with any non-Republican. It amuses me how biased they really are. But seeing that made me want to see it even more.


Really? I always thought most Republicans were against universal health care.

You could not have guess more correctly, I am a conservative, a conservative who HATES Fox News, and any BIG NEWS corporation at that. CNN is the worst BTW. Although Fox News does have a Democratic co host of a TV show, they try to be "Fair and balanced" like all other news channels try, and they all fail at it.

Also, its not just republicans who have fought for the health care system we have today. Back in the Bill Clinton days Hillary fought for a better health care system, and like all politicians, she was bought out for a good $800 million.

No more than any politician though. He's obviously making movies to make money, but I think he's also making them on what he truly believes.

Eh, CNN's okay, but not as bad as Fox. MSNBC seems to be the most rounded and less-biased in my opinion. Fox just seems to throw in too much of their own opinions. Not so much when they're just going over live news... but with like Bill O'Riley and those jokers. I think Fox is by far the most biased.

No, Hilary's health care plan didnt happen because it didnt receive enough support for a floor vote in neither the House nor the Senate.

Well when I hear something besides "IED" or "Death" from someone on CNN about Iraq I will change my opinion. Maybe a topic on schools being opened or something like that.

I have yet to see a movie made by a politician. I have seen movies about a politician, once they died.

Anywho, when they talked about France, I was amazed. I cannot believe people in this country seriously believe a system like that would be sooo failing and all the doctors would have sucky lives when like, obviously it works. Have they looked around beyond our borders? That was ridiculous.

I was planning to move to Europe ASAP anyway.

I don't have to watch Sicko to question the American health system. Dealing with them did the trick.

Yeah I just watched it yesterday. I think it's better than all the movies he's done before, because there's not really a twist to this one and I can't see how people will diss him about it. But they'll probably invent their feeble ways. The comparisons he made between the US, Canada and Europe were unexpected and funny... Not to mention that Cuba appears to have a better healthcare system than the US. I feel bad for Americans.

... so if it evens out, what's the point? At least with the current system you have a choice and more specialists.

If Cuba's system is so great, why wouldn't he trust his own country's doctors? Moore even mentions the US rank in worldwide healthcare, but he curiously omits Cuba's rank, which is LOWER than the United States'.

Why didn't Castro send for a US doctor then? If you think they're so amazing. I don't know, by what I saw, drugs there were much cheaper and people actually got treatment. I live in Canada and I find nothing wrong with it. It's the better way. Oh, and I've never had to wait for a doctor for more than 15 minutes here.

^ Consider yourself lucky then. That's about what my parents have to pay. But someone who works a low-salary job, such as Mcdonalds, doesnt have that luxury. And it's very expensive for people who are self employed. Not only do they pay outrageous rates, they usually have a way higher co-pay.

And what about the people who are either disabled or retired, and all they have is Medicare? I have a aunt who just has Medicare because she's disabled... and she pays nearly $200 for a montly supply of the same medication my mom gets for $10.

He's shaking his head at you because the US and Cuba have a trade embargo, meaning that nothing from the US goes to Cuba and nothing from Cuba goes to the US. The US and Cuba don't really get along. Thus, I really don't think the US would send over a doctor to help out Castro. I'm sort of on your side in this argument, and not knowing that doesn't help our cause.
