-the tracker button must be visible for the tracker to work! im no longer going to provide the code to hide the button, sorry. its only fair that you help promote createblog in return for all the resources we provide. plus, shouldnt your visitors know that they are being tracked?

-when adding a new tracker, if you get 'your site is already being tracked' error, that means just that. you most likely signed up for the tracker using another createblog account. if youre having problems remembering your original createblog account, send me a pm with the url you wish to track.

-official members get to track up to 5 sites, whereas regular members get up to 2. the upper daily limit for hits is 5000 for official members and 500 for regular members. after reaching the limit, the tracker will no longer log anymore hits for the day. the idea is to give you an incentive to participate in our community.

-if the time is incorrect, simply go to edit settings and change the timezone to the correct timezone. also, make sure your myspace (or whatever site) timezone is also correct.

-the standard url format for myspace is something like myspace.com/createblogcom. if you have a non standard url (applicable only for sign ups before v2), you need to uncheck 'prevent hi-jacking' in settings for the tracker to work.

-for certain browsers (firefox), the tracker will only log once per browser session, unless the user clicks on refresh manually or closes the browser and accesses your page again.

The tracker v2 is finally out! CB was one of the first tracker providers - since 2003 - so its only fitting that we have the very best one! Here are the features of the new tracker:

- New and improved user interface
- Daily and monthly bar graphs
- 30 days of log details (individual hits)
- New measures to prevent hijacking
- In-depth IP information (identify, comment, track recent visited)
- Supports all personal sites (myspace, hi5, xanga, livejournal, blogger)
- Tracks top visitors, destination and referer pages

MYSPACE USERS: If you were using the tracker, you will need to restart the tracker to resume logging. To do this, go to your cb tracker page, and there should be a link at the very top in red (not the one below the graph). All your information will be saved, so you need not worry about that. DO NOT update your about me tracker code or the tracker will no longer work!

^ you need to sign up and place your tracking code on your page. it tracks in real time, but in the future i might have it update every X hours, to save server resources.

i have signed up, but the only hits i have are all from yesterday, there is nothing showing up for today at all, even though people have been to my page. i clicked on the TRACKER CODE to repaste it in my profile again just incase, but all i get is a white page and no tracker code. oh yeah, forgive me for bein retarded, but whats real time? haha serious question that is too lol

you need to restart your tracker. go to your tracking page, and at the very top youll see a link in red. click it...

Am I doing something wrong? When I add the link to my profile, myspace changes it to a msplink with a few ... I've heard that myspace has blocked some trackers, is it possible that the address needs to be changed inorder for it to work?

oook, i just deleted my one and started all over and i got the code and its all going fine. i went to my page 6 times but so far its telling me ive had no visitors. i read somewhere that it registers hits every 5 minutes, is that right? so i have to wait 5 mins for those times i went to my page to show up on the tracker? or is it just my tracker that doesnt want to co-operate with my good self?? :)

i messed it up. i thought i deleted my old one (tracker) but i deleted my friends one instead because she uses this sometimes too. anyway i registered a new one but on the part where it says USERNAME, what do you put?? i tried to do www.myspace.com/ myfriendID but it says invalid characters. my old one is still on there, its just not registering any hits. so now im kinda stuck. i dont know i send you my tracker page :(

I went to put in the new tracker code and MySpace cuts it off. It replaces the letters with "..."

When you paste in the tracker code, Myspace changes the links to mplinks and adds ".." linked to CB and ".." linked the CB layouts. It doesn't appear to be working.

I'm not sure if I'm liking the idea of letting others know when I visit their site, my last 10 other visits...is there a way to turn this feature off?

i completely messed mine up.

i ended up deleting the tracker.
i wanted to start with a brand new one.
but when i went to make one,
it said that the page is already being tracked.
i know i deleted it.
and i also got rid of the code on my page...
so now i'm confused. it's starting to piss me off.

is it a really awful thing to say if i said 'cant we have the old one back? lol.

i dont seem to have the red link to activate the tracker...help please :)

MEXTEX - if you already had the tracker before, you should see a line of red links which say various things (below the graph) if you click on theone that says TRACKER CODE, your meant to be able to repost it into your page. it didnt work for me or some others though, we just got a blank white page. i guess they are just gliches right now so we should just wait it out

ok. looks like myspace selectively blocks images placed on your about_me (and most likely other areas although i havent checked). that means the tracker will no longer be able to track myspace anymore - regardless of the new one or old - if you update your about me.

im going to see what i can do later this weekend, but i cant promise anything. i dont think its a good idea to work around the problem, since myspace can simply add more rules to block it. in any case im a bit disappointed since i worked on this tracker for the last week or so. =(

i dont understand what you mean when you say myspace blocks images. i had a hidden tracker so no image would of shown anyway. so the V1 wont work now either??

^ yup, v1 will no longer work if you update your about me, regardless of it being hidden or not. the "hiding" is done via css, which only masks it (without changing the image code).

* when I go to tracker code to set up a new tracker for a myspace page I get a link to a blank page

* when I selected "track another site" in the top right I get a link to a blank page

i have a tracker that is not on a myspace page and it's not tracking any hits at all

this is a buzzkill

when do you expect to have a remedy for this?

hi apple. its all gone a little wrong. myspace is or has done something to stop this from working correctly i think. but seeing as its so new, im hoping that its just a temporary glich. the V1 was alot more straightforward, i agree, but this has the potential to be just as good i think, its just gonna take a little bit of geting used to. oh and it has to work of course lol... so lets keep our bits crossed and hope its something minor that can be resolved. if not, then thats just a great big BUMMER :(

i get a blank page too and i cannot find a red link to the tracker code. any help will do, as if you're already trying to help many other peeps already

a couple of problems:

1. when I go to tracker code to set up a new tracker for a livejournal, a blank page was shown.

2. some of the IPs are 0.0.0.0, but I know they should be belonged to different users


I guess it's just at the beginning stage and things wil change, isn't it?

Since then, yes, it doesn't work at all, and i get the same white page if i click on "get tracker" and there isn't any "red link" on top that is mentioned in previous messages...

Figures, Myspace would block a good thing. I am hoping you can work through things and get the trackers up and working again! I like the new features you came up with. Will be intrested (and hoping) you get them working!

Ok i dont have my code on about me.. never have... my tracking code i have noticed has a mslink thingy in it, but yesterday was working fine. I just cant seem to find the top link to activate it... Micron PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!! Im in love with tracker v2!

My Space hasn't changed at all my code on my "About me" section and it still wouldn't work, so i guess the problem has to do with the new version.

yeah, i liked the old version so much more, with these things the simpler, the better. The only feature that i would have liked to be added was the info about operating system, browser and resolution that other trackers such as Statcounter provide, but i could live without that too, as long as it worked!

...miss you v1...

By the way, i don't know what the "Identify" feature is about.

Appreciate the hard work and good intentions, but again, miss the simplicity.
