Think about it... the reason the guy smiled was most likely cuz he was flattered. Guys get a boost of egotism when they KNOW a girl likes them or even the girl(s) think he's cute.

So he might have actually meant it, that he doesn't like you in that sort of way, but in fact he smiled because he knows that you're interested in him for some sort of reason.

My best opinion is, and you can take it or leave; is that you shouldn't depend on your friends to do things for your personal life. In fact, I never told ANY of my friends what girl I was interested in. Because my grandfather had a sayin that was passed down to the men of my family.

Meaning, even the thought of you not succeeding can rub off on you. And lets make something clear, you'll always have 1 jealous friend. Especially females, why? Because females are jealous creatures.

So all I'm saying is, be responsible for your personal life, don't depend on a friend. Cuz for all you know, he might have said he's interested and likes you, but your jealous friend flipped the script on you.

I don't know how old you are, but Im 24 in Nov. I have plenty of experience when it comes to friends... all sorts of weirdos out there.

if he said he didnt like her and he laughed about it, i think his laugh should've told her if it was either true or sarcasm. but i think he actually meant it. he probably added the laugh just so she wouldn't feel entirely bad about it.
