Alright everyone. WE all know about the good old days, the days with the tightly knit community and all.

let's pretend we're in the good old days.

You guys can call me derrington. Or justin. Either one will work. I was a member back in cB2, and was a moderator for about a month as well.

I mostly haunt the debate forum; you guys should try it sometime. Of course, you also must understand that I don't believe everything I debate. There's not enough opposition for that.

So let's bring back the good old days.

Why? Why do we keep dwelling in the old days? They aren't going to come back, so why don't we move on and try to improve how things are right now?

Hmm, that reminds me of the 'discussion' we had in CBC a few days ago about the old days.

wave.gif Well, Hiii Derrington. I remember when you were on staff (I used to be StanleyThePanda).

With that said, I agree with Suzzette about dwelling on the past, but I would definitely like for the community to be close again.
sadolakced acid
well, people always seem to be missing the good old days.

anyways; i have to go now; i'll talk to you all later.
Jeng
Good old days won't be the asme, old people are gone, new people are here.

YAY THE CRANBERRIES!

It's in your head.

Another head hangs lowly
Child is slowly taken
And the violence caused such silence
Who are we mistaken

well that's unfortunate. there's too much idiots here to "bring back the old days."
davinci
You can't bring back the good old days no matter how hard you try. It was a tightly knit community because the community was actually small.
sadolakced acid
the community wasn't all that small back then.

Sure, there were less members, but it wasn't like there were only 10 active people or anything...

Good ol' days were pretty good. I remember them.

It would be nice to go back.

It'd be nice to go forward, too, wundinit? _smile.gif
sadolakced acid
All this talk of going forward, but do we even know where that forward is?

what direction are we headed towards, anyways?
steve330
We'll, I'd make a wager to say we're headed towards the future.
sadolakced acid
well they weren't all that bad.

Anyways; where's the fun gone to?
deplorable
i know i havent been around long enough to experience the "good old days" but i must say that since coming back on ive found a huge difference in the closeness online. its better, and now im afraid that im gonna get too addicted because its like the family ive never had XD

I guess, in concept. Unfortunately, if you get factual, I don't see too much in the future of cB. So, no, I wouldn't want to go forward.

How are we supposed to know? No one knows what something will end up as, but that doesn't mean the future doesn't hold promise.

I hate these threads, goddamn.

Ditto.

(I kind of just wanted to use that word in conversation. tongue.gif )

Hi Brenden. wave.gif

Yes, bleak. The kind that offers little or no hope. That bleak. wink.gif

So young to be so cynical. :[

(It's Rebecca, btw) All these screen name changes are still maddening. (maddening? two d's, one d'? is that even a word?)

I know... I'm just in a pretty negative mood these days. Perhaps it's not cB's future that's bleak, but my own. But see, with bleak, there's still a little hope. So, cB's future isn't so bad. wink.gif

Oh, and it's two d's. See, I'm a visual learner. I learned how to spell maddening by picturing John Madden screaming "IT'S MADDENING!" He's wearing the little announcer headset and everything.

Try it. Trust me. It'll stick. tongue.gif

OMG! I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!! anyways old=cool. You must know you past to have a future, so why not? why not dwell on the past? tongue.gif

i get what you mean, justin. the old days seem so much better than now, but i think that's because it was our choice to not be close with the community anymore. you left for a while, yeah? and i know that i haven't talked with cB people like i did before. ;x things change...and we've gotta deal. nobody's willing to talk about the 'old days' anymore.

I dunno how far all you guys are talking about, but around the end of 2005 I got so pissed with a lot of the people here that I logged out and never came back for a year or so. All I have to say is, I am happy not to see some people, but then again I miss a few old faces. I also would like to state for the record that I also dislike a few new faces, its human. Its also human to dwell over the past.
