Popular wrestler Chris Benoit, former World Heavyweight, Intercontinental, United States, World Tag Team, WWE Tag Team, WCW Heavyweight, WCW United States, WCW Cruiserweight and ECW Tag Team Champion has killed his wife, son, then himself.

Benoit killed his wife on Saturday, by choking her with an electrical chord, killed his son on Sunday, by smothering him, then commited suicide last night (NOTE: I may be a day behind on the all of the dates) in his weightroom, seemingly by hanging himself.

Just...wow. I can't believe it. An unforgivable act, but he was such an amazing wrestler...it's just surreal...

yea i read about that...some reporters said it had something to do with steroids...unbelievable

Well, it's easy to blame steroids, but it could have been a number of things, although it would seem obvious that steroids could have played a part.

I heard about this yesterday, and when they weren't releasing information I thought for sure it was a homicide. It's so sad, though, esspecially since he killed his wife and child. Steriods can mess with your head, but I'm sure there was something else going on too.

Damn I saw the RAW tribute to him last night too. Sad. He was such a tough, dedicated and above all, respected wrestler. My condolences to his family. May Chris Benoit and Eddie Guererro RIP.

I want to know why he did it. I bet you his wife cheat on him. There only 2 reasons that make a husband to go crazy and kill their family members

1) his wife cheated
2) he is mentally ill!

Vince McMahon is the owner of WWE, not a wrestler, and he died in a storyline, not in real life.

one creepy detail is that someone posted his wife's death on wikipedia 14 hours before they discovered their bodies.

he tortured his son before his death. i think he was mad that his son was sick or had autism or something along the lines of that, so he kept injecting him with drugs.

the guy that gave him all the prescripted drugs was also shady, he had a suspension because he overprescribed drugs to patients.

his son had a form of dwarfism. they found that benoit had given his son human growth hormones.

i don't think he was in his right mind when he did this. whether it was roid rage or just some mental disease, i think he was just ... out of his mind when he killed his wife and son.

If it is found that he had steroids in his system, that possibly had more factor in it than most people think.
