Why is it we exist for that purpose
Why is it that we hold it so dearly to us
Why do we become afraid
Even when we feel something is out of our control
And other people tell us so too
A disease
An accident
Something we're born with
Why can't we fight it
Some people call it fate
Others believe in a higher order of power playing our lives with puppet strings
Neither one is what we really want
We want to fight it
We want to control
We want to hold onto what we have dear to us
In the short time we exist in this realm
We just want to create our own place in its history
And move on without regrets
But who honestly can say they don't have regrets
Who can say they never thought back
Why is it so frightening
Why is my past always haunting me
Why is it like that
Especially on the last dying breath on our existence
We look back and regret
We want more
Like a baby just born from its mother's womb
We cry
We cry over how we can't have that something more
Why couldn't we have treated our loved ones better
Why couldn't we have done better for others around us
In the blase world we live in today
Can people just stop and think for a second
That the people around us aren't just objects who just pass us by
They are flesh and blood of our ancestors

Hand in hand we drift through the cool breeze in the air
We scream in joy
We laugh as one
Our hearts beating rapidly through the excitement
We ascend to the sky and frolick
Frolick til our souls have reached the highest point of happiness
Dance like we never thought possible
The world of ours changes with our dreams do
Til we fall back down into our sanctuary
Where we rest our physical selves
And return to the night sky filled with stars
Having the moon goddess watch down on us
Cradling us in our wombs
