Haha you could walk around the street looking for cool people and ask them to take a picture holding the sign ;)

can still have it and it can still be fun, just hope people are honest about it

Even if people fake it thats there fault. You can always recommend that they use the same "model" each time. That way it works out better in a way. Its still a great idea though. There are flaws to every contest so I wouldn't worry about those factors that much.

dealing with the "fakes":

just do a before and after picture and make it a requirement.

Anyways, if we did an elimination contest, here are a few themes.

1. Transformation. The before and after would show like a complete transformation of someone's look.

2. MAC-ish make-up ad. Complete glamour make-up.

3. Designs. Pattern / design on a face.

4. Animal. Not sure, haha.

5. Night out.

^ To add, You should say: No excessive "photoshopping" a photo.

Yes. Those are both good ideas. How about NO Photoshopping except for stuff like brightness / contrast. Basically, no painting in fake make-up, haha.

This sounds like a really cool idea... I wouldn't join because I'm god awful at doing any kind of makeup, but I'd be interested in seeing who joins and what not. =]
