I would have to say that I like a lot of Genre. I just hate Romance and stuff that deals with blood; generally action/horror. Romance is basiclly always the same thing. The guy/girl always gets some hot dood at the end. So it's kinda boring to me. Horror/action, Blood is an extremly hard thing to draw and animate. And bad art kinda annoys me...
So what kind of Genre do you guys love and hate?

eh. i usually read romance and shounen. but i just love comedy ;D and drama makes me keep reading, i guess im that kinda person haha xD

i love comedy, action, and romance..some of the bests to me are action. and my least would be horror.

I'm a sucker for Shounen and Romance. But Comedy always gives me a good laugh.

I do like most of them except romantic and overdramatic animes.
Idk. They just kinda bore, and annoy me. Ohh, and gorey stuff turns me off as well. My fav though would have to be shounen or action. But it's nice to have a good laugh alot too though!

i'd say romance the least favorite, and comedy the greatest.
I love japanese comedy, specially through anime.

... Um, most, if not all, the shoujo that I read is romance-based. Let's not get into Parfait Tic. Actually, I could relate Romance to Josei as well.


My favorite is definitely shoujo, but I'm still really picky about which ones I would read. Nana, HYD, Honey and Clover, etc. are definitely my favorites. They're also romance-based as well. In addition, Nana is josei, no matter what people say.


My least favorite is both Action and Horror. Some action is alright, but mass amounts are not my thing. Although I do like Gundam Wing, at times i got pretty bored. Horrors... Well I havent come across any animes of that genre, but some mangas are just.... Ew.. =X

EDIT - Oh, and I wish you wouldn't group Ecchi with Yaoi and Yuri. I feel like because they're grouped together, pollers may the feeling that they're all linked, but they're not. Yaoi and Yuri may be unorthodox due to its sexual orientation, but Ecchi is more based on (mild to intense) sexual references and such.

My favorite kind of manga is shoujo, especially the romantic comedies like Lovely Complex and Skip Beat (although this series is much heavier on the comedy). I also enjoy NANA for its romance and complex relationships.

I don't have a least favorite genre, but the kind I read the least are horror and yaoi/yuri.

for manga, i read shoujo/romance/comedy themes, and for anime it's usually shounen, comedy, a little romance is okay, and action/horror/supernatural (some animes such as blood+ have acceptable animation of blood.)

not all romance are like that. i've seen some coooool romance animes.

personally, i'm getting into those horror ones. they're the ones that really grab at me (like Berserk). like srsly, some of these horror animes are so in-depth. and that's what attracts me.

I wouldn't have if I could but there wasn't any room left and no other group came up to my mind when I made the poll. Maybe I should've grouped it with romance or something but I didn't think of that back then. I thought the same thing and personally, I really like yaoi and yuri so I really wanted to put it up. So sorry if anyone found that offensive.
