any tips on toning your butt?
doiink
i actually heard lunges were helpful. i asked this girl who did gymnastics once and she said to sit on the ground with your legs like..80 degrees apart, bend over with your arms between your legs and lift your legs up slightly off the ground with your arms supporting you on the ground. sorry if that was kind of confusing mellow.gif

yea i heard lunges were good too. it wuznt really confusing just seems hard =)

yeah...FRIGGEN CELLULITE! its depressing huh =[ i found all of my fat during school one day..er i realized i was super cellulitey when i was sitting in class...sad sad day...

anyways to tone your INNER THIGHS! [those are really hard to tone and such cause you barely use 'em] you can put a pillow between your legs and squeeze the pillow! basically i do that like all the time now heehe

Lie down on your back with your knees up and feet flat on the floor. Lift your butt. Like 100x.

Lunges are more for the upper area below your butt and your quads. If you want the best butt workout (we call it the butt blaster at dance) what you want to do is start out on all fours. Lift one leg up, making sure the knee is bent at 90 degrees and directly behind your hip. Slowly lift it directly upwards, as far as it will go and hold it there for as long as you can. Then bring it back to the starting place (still raised). Now lift it up and down as many times as you can. Make sure your back stays straight and your knee stays behind your hip. Switch legs when you've done as much as you can.

this is definately it.
we have this machine in the weight room at my gym,
you do this exact motion, but you're lifting a bar
with a weight stack. (the muscle building is also toning)
once you notice that your butt is firm you may notice
it didnt get a whole lot smaller. but this is a step up.

and i love my booty. happy.gif

its a miracle machine, chyeah.

I used to do lunges every night before bed, but I stopped.
I'm no good with routines.

But I'm definitely trying out the butt clenching and the leg lifting!

Hm... the only thing I would recommend, is squats... or running up stairs. Basically you want to lift at your knees and push down with something that has resistance (walking up stairs, skippin every other step is good enough, then speed it up by doing sprints).

You can do leg pushers. Lie on your back and have someone push your legs down and you have to pick them back up. Make sure they're straight, it works the butt and legs.

I've tried doing lunges and squats. The sides of my cheeks are really sore the next day laugh.gif

I'm not trying to discredit you or anything. But that was a work out I used to do when I played traveling and varsity soccer. That work out you're talkin about (lay flat on your back on the grass, lift your legs, person at your feet catches your feet by your heels/ankles them throws/shoves/pushes your feet towards the floor and you have to control them to the point your heels hover 1 inch above the ground, then rinse/repeat) is for building/strengthening the endurance of your last set of abs (below belly button/above pelvis). This is for fast twitch muscles (helps you build endurance so you don't fatigue as fast from running) and also builds a resistance against cramps.

I don't think it has anything to do with the glutes. Only way to build glutes is by pushing, not pulling/lifting.

Basically your butt is like your triceps, only way to build triceps is by pushing/pressing as apposed to biceps, you pull/lift.

Here, this is for all the ladies who want real information from a professional female model/bodybuilder:

All you have to do is, stretch before and after any work out (this is for safety purposes too... don't want to pull/strain any muscles, it's horrible tormenting pain)

To stretch the glutes, just lay on your back, and pull 1 knee at a time towards your chin. Grab your leg by the knee or shin, and just pull towards your face... then switch leg _smile.gif
