This is a huge, huge disappointment to many Rain (Bi) fans. I, and many other thousands of Rain fans in the US have been anticipating his concerts for along time. This was supposed to be his debut in the US and it's sad to think that a band would file a lawsuit just because they have the same word in their band name. I'm just frustrated that they're doing this now, and making all his US concerts delayed/canceled. Many of his fans have already bought tickets...and now we're having to refund all of them. It's interesting though, most of the concert names were changed to Jung Ji-Hoon's World Tour anyway.

Anyway, I'd just like to know if anybody else on cB was going to go to one of his concerts as well. Opinions would be nice, too. I am going to admit, I am definitely biased on this situation...so I'd like to see everybody else's thoughts on this.

"Rain Corporation" wants to be awarded three times the profits attributable to Defendant's infringement, it's attorney's fees be paid, interest on any monetary award, an injunction be issued against defendants and their employees, Star M to cancel their domain name (http://rainworldtour.com) etc.

Goddamn. I just have this feeling that they're in it for money. >:l Everything's about money these days, I guess....

I heard about that. It's so stupid. I mean, I'm not a big fan of Bi or whatever but I don't know. Anything to get money out of. Plus, I've never even heard of that band to begin with and Bi or whatever was like voted one of the most influential people in the world (in some magazine.) Oh well whatever.

Why are they doing this now? He's had the name for years. Why all of a sudden, when he's coming here for a concert? When he's not touring or anything, they don't do anything about it? I'm not a big fan of him or anything, but.. just.. wow.

What the f**k? When did "Rain" become such a highly coveted name? Besides, Rain = Band in America. Rain = solo artist in Korea. I mean, you'd have to be a dumbass to get that mixed up.

that's incredibly stupid... but then again, this is exactly what i was thinking about when bi first came out. and se7en, too. there are many international artists with names that are supposedly copyrighted or registered trademarks.

When I first read that, I got a little angry as well, but then I went to go watch it. It wasn't that bad-- and I'm pretty sure he was kidding. The article makes him sound extremely, extremely racist, though. -.-

Yeah, I'm waiting for June 14th to come around (that's the court date). Hopefully the new dates for the concerts will be up soon.

Two of my friends are a Rain (Bi) fan. And one of them was really looking forward to him coming here. Oh well. It doesn't exactly effect me, but that sucks for everyone who was planning on going and already bought tickets.
