Do any of you have a borders book store near your city or in your city?
Unfortunately, we don't have one. We don't even have Barnes & Noble. The closest thing to a book store is our local college book store.
lovefooled
The city I live in is gay, we don't any bookstores.

The closest Borders is in Farmington, which is about 45 minutes away. But there's a B&N only 20 minutes away.

I prefer Borders because of the buy 2 books get 1 free deal. :)
superstitious
There isn't one around here, at least none that I've seen.

There was one I used to go to almost daily when I lived in Orange County (CA). I miss it. =(
PINAYSTER
yup!
BORDERS from my house is like 7 minutes away!!
hahaha!!
i plan on working there =]
for not a living ofcourse haha
YourSuperior
^I wish we had one here, I would definitely apply for a job there.
cori-catastrophe

YourSuperior
^Awe Cori. Well atleast you have one near you. I don't even have one two hours from here lol.
cori-catastrophe

YourSuperior
Thanks :) I'd definitely return the favor. =]

Borders nearby my local mall was closed last year, so now we only have Barnes and Noble left.

Yup, we used to have both in the same center but thank god Barnes & Nobles left, I hated that place. Borders throb.gif
marzipan
Yep. About 35 minutes away, though.
I really like the store, but I haven't bought anything from it...>_>
YourSuperior
^You really should buy books from there. They have some good sales sometimes.
marzipan
Haha yeah, I get emails from them every once in a while about sales, but I don't really feel like driving down there to get books when it's cheaper at the Books-A-Million since my mom has a discount card there. I like to buy manga there. ^__^ And that's probably the only thing I'd buy at Borders, as well. So it's not really worth driving 35 minutes for. But they have a bunch of other stuff too...including a little coffee thing. But Starbucks is better. And there's also a Starbucks next to that Borders, so WHOO! I haven't gone there in a while either...but anyways, the Borders we have is 2 floors. It's not THAT big, but it's the biggest bookstore around here. I like the whole atmosphere of it. It's really relaxing and smells of coffee.

=X
Okay, I'm shutting up now.
I'm bored, which = tired, so bear with me...

There's a Barns and Noble about 20 minutes away, and another about 25... but no Borders. I think we used to have one though. Or maybe we still do? I've never been, so I'm not sure. XD.gif

Theres a Borders like 5 minutes from my house. <33 My uncle is a manager there and he always gives me coupons or discounts. One time he had my mom tell the cashieer that she was a teacher (even though she isn't) so she could get this special teacher discount.

I always get coffee there. So good.

They actually recently built a new one about 10 minutes away from my new house and my friends and i go there ALL THE TIME! seriously. like, the one here has such cool designs around it and it's so big with a cafe, coffee shop and stuff like that. Three giant rows of magazines(local & international). omg, it's so cool.

i don't really care for borders that much, i know all of you like it because of the stupidass cafe they have integrated, but seriously their shit is what seatles best? yuck! i'd rather goto barnes and noble and then hit up itag or starbucks. Starbucks is never far away ;)
ParanoidAndroid
I don't really know the difference between Borders and Barnes and Noble. there's one Barnes and Noble branch here that has a cafe just like Borders, so what's the difference?
freeridefight

CowerPointyObjects
The feel of Barnes and Noble is slightly different than the feel of Borders, but maybe that's just me. I'm prone to Barnes and Noble, as that is where I practically lived during high school as there's one only two minutes away from my house. I like my BN better than any other, though; the cafe is by far the best.
Gryffindor-Girl
Barns & Noble 15 minutes Borders 35 minutes I go to Barns & Noble more thought now that I think of it I haven't been to Borders in over a year now.
