im designing a layout for my website and i was wondering if anyone could give me the correct # for the size of a website..i thought it was 800x600 and then someone said 1024x768?..whats everyones opinion? thanks!

1024 x 768 is the standard size for a screen, and 800 x 600 is a bit smaller.

Those are common resolutions for screen sizes.

most people will design for their website to fit the 1024x768 resolution.

I would just suggest that you dont design over that dimension

^He's right. Because if you do design over standard size, it'll most likely look a mess because it'll be too big on standard size.
