I'm still rolling on CS2. Don't really feel the need to buy CS3.
Before CS2, I used GIMP. I don't really use it much at all anymore, but I recommend to my friends who want a decent photo editor.

I use Photoshop 7. I'm definitely not paying almost 600 dollars for Photoshop CS2 or CS3.

I use Photoshop CS. I'd get CS3, but I just simple can't.. My dad won't let me use that much on a program that changes once every couple of years.

The upgrade is only $200 but I can see how that could get expensive if you just bought photoshop CS2

I use photoshop CS3 & MS Paint occasionally.
I have Illustrator, Flash, & some other Adobe programs, but I haven't had a chance to familiarize myself with them (they came as a package: 'Adobe Design Premium CS3')

I use Photoshop CS2, and I definitely didn't pay for it. Lol.
My dad got a corporate license for it from his work.

No, the license is valid for multiple PCs. If it was only valid for one, the registration code wouldn't have worked. Adobe has protection against multiple uses of the same license.
A corporate license means that many, many employees can use it.
It's probably not completely ethical for me to be using it outside of the company, but it's definitely not pirating.
You don't need to be so elitist about having paid for your copy. I would have bought it too, but I don't see the point in paying $600 for something if I can get it for free without blatantly breaking the law. ;)

I'm in love with PS, particularly CS2.... I'm not ahead of the game enough to have CS3. But I know Photoshop inside and out (and there's still more to know!).
EDIT: I'm using the licensed copy for the school district my parents work for, but as I basically work for the district myself as well, I don't see an issue with using the application on my own machine.

wrong. adobe has no protection whatsoever in multiple uses of the same license. if that was the case, then i would never have had cs2. and most certainly not have cs3 extended at the moment.
and btw, i use cs3 :]

Um, well Photoshop CS did, I assure you. Maybe CS2 and CS3 don't.
I know that firsthand....I got a license for CS from a non-profit organization (I was actually working for them), and it worked for a little while, but then it started telling me that the license had already been used on another computer. Even when I re-installed, it wouldn't let me use it... I think it might be that you can only install it on three or something, it might not be limited to only one computer. It might only be that way on the nonprofit license, even. But I'm telling you, the license was limited on the copy I had.

my b then. i never even had cs on my computer so i wouldnt know. but as for cs2 and cs3, they definatly did not have any protection on multiple licenses.
well, actually, they might. my serial key comes from my hardware id. not a license. so cs2 and cs3 might actually have somesort of protection on multiple licenses.
