What's your favorite romance novel? I don't read romance books so I don't have a favorite. tongue.gif
DarkImpressions
Well I think most people would say like Romeo and Juliet.
But honestly I really enjoy the books by the author Zane.
technicolour
Well. Antyhing by Nicholas Sparks. He's a romance writer and his books make me so damn teary-eyed. :(

So sweet. Sometimes. Except when people die.

Does it have to be a complete romance book? If not Books by Jennifer Crusie. They are part romance-y and part other stuff. Same with some of Janet Evanovich's . So those two people I don't have a favorite book because I love them all.

If not umm I'll get back to you.

yeah, i think anything by nicholas sparks is a good romance novel. granted, he has the same theme and sometimes it's really predictable, but i like the imagery he can bring. and plus they take place in really romantic scenes.

I love how no one's said Romeo and Juliet yet laugh.gif I didn't even think of that one when I saw this forum.

Anyway, this is going to sound dumb, but Twilight is perhaps the best one I'VE read...granted, I don't really read Jane Austen, more like Victor Hugo or Leo Tolstoy for me, but Twilight was beautiful a lot of the time. Again, I don't really read romance...

nicholas sparks doesn't impress me...once you watch a couple of k-dramas..EVERYTHING ROMANCE RELATED IS PREDICTABLE!

Are you kidding? Romeo and Juliet was one of the most pathetic failures at a romance novel I've ever read. =_= I seriously hated it, ahha

I'm not sure... I might hav to say Twilight. :P

I liked Romeo and Juliet.
I don't read a lot of romance.
But if I have to pick one, then I guess I'd pick Breakfast at Tiffany's.

I don't read romance novels. The only one I've read was called Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks and it was ridiculously boring and predictable. Yet hooking and bittersweet and mellow. mellow.gif

The Notebook and A Walk To Remember both by Nicholas Sparks.
He's amazingggg.

i LIVE for the "anita blake series" by laurell k. hamilton... it's vampires, were-critters, strippers, magic, zombies... they're awesome... although a bit graphic whistling.gif and the "sleeping beauty trilogy" by anne rice (under a pen name...) also graphic, but fun... my stepmom used to read nora roberts like it was her job!

Nicholas Sparks pretty much disgusts me; all of his novels follow the same romance novel formula, but with a slightly different twist each time. I find that he's pretty much hit or miss with people--moreso a hit with the less literate and a miss with the more literate. Makes sense.

I'm not big on romance, and it's kind of sad that the first one that came to mind that I recently read was Christopher Moore's Bloodsucking Fiends, which was less than impressive. I'm a big fan of John Irving's storytelling skills, especially in Until I Find You, which has somewhat of a romance subplot in it. A Widow for One Year is an even better one of his more romance-related novels.

rolleyes.gif He's the biggest a-hole in real life. I remember last year his kid started going to our school and he got beat up in the student parking lot because he was acting like a hot shot.

Ugh, fully agreed! I'd read some great reviews on it, so I bought it, and haven't even gotten through the first couple pages. It just.. shrug.gif

Any book with a happy ending by Sarah Dessen. A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks is sweet as well.
