Overview
As a regular member, there are three member groups you can promote yourself into, depending on how you contribute to the community. These are:

• Official member
• Official designer
• Official promoter

Official members / designers / promoters all have special benefits that regular members don't. By becoming one, you help promote this site to become a bigger and better community. In addition, you'll receive 200 PM storage space, an upgrade from the original 100 PM storage space. You'll have the capacity of editing your own topic titles and descriptions and bypass flood control. Whenever we hire volunteer staff members, we take into consideration if you are an official member or not. And you get access to the vip forums, which regular members don't! Best of all, it's absolutely free!

Each group have different requirements before you can apply. Please read the following posts carefully and if you qualify, reply to this topic with what position you are applying for and proof that the requirements are met. From time to time Admins will review the applicants and promote you accordingly. You should only reply to this topic to apply. If you have questions, so please post them here.

Official member requirements
It's easy to become an official member. Here are the requirements:

• Lend a hand and be active in the community. Get at least 1000 posts under your belt AND maintain a minimum of 2.0 posts per day.
• Add a static link to us in your site (Xanga, Myspace, Blogger, Livejournal, etc). If you do not have one, please PM an Admin addressing why you'd like to become an Official Member.
• For Xanga users, join our blogring (note, if you don't have any modules, please provide a link to the blogring somewhere). For myspace users, our group.

Q: How do I join the blogring if I'm already in 20 blogrings?
A: Get out of one, or get xanga premium. Being an official member costs, but its worth it.

Who's responsible for making people official members?
The administrators of the forums, at the moment superstitious and libertie.

I'm going to be on a trip for several weeks. How can i not be demoted in that time?
Post like a mad dog. =) Basically, calculate how many posts you must post in order to at least stay 2 posts a day on the average. Then, post but DO NOT SPAM.

I've posted a lot, but my posts are not accumulating for some reason.
Making posts in some forums do not count towards your postcount. This is to prevent spamming on these forums.

I've been demoted back to a regular member. What do I do?
You can stay demoted, or get your post count back up to 2 or more posts per day, join the blogring again and add the link, and add the createblog link to your xanga. This way, you can try out to be an official member again.

I have been warned. Can I still be an official member?
If you have received a warning, don't worry! You are still an Official Member and will not be demoted just yet. Continue to exhibit good behavior and your warning level will be down to 0 in no time. However, if you reach a warning level of 20% or higher, you will be demoted of your status. If you positively contibute to the community again, a staff member has the ability to decrease your warning, in which case you can reapply again.

Why do we need atleast 1000 posts?
We're looking for devoted, contributing, and patient official members. The 1000 posts is a way of proving yourself to us that you are able to post on the forums and be active without being irrelevant, spamming, and being warned for your behavior.

Why the 2 posts a day?
It is important to us that you are active on the forums; only active, participating, and devoted members deserve the tools offered on this site. Thus, we enforce this rule.

How do I check if I have 2 posts a day?
When you reply to a topic, click on your name and then "forum stats". This should lead you to your forum statistics page. Look for the part where it says "posts per day".

How do I get demoted? How many times do admins check?
You may get demoted for several reasons. If at anytime your warning level is raised to 20%, or if your post count drop below the 2 posts per day minimum, or if you do not have the link, blogring link, and have not joined the blogring, you will be demoted. Admins check randomly (more like whenever we're free) and out of nowhere at times, so it is best to stay safe and keep posting.

What if I joined long time ago and there is no way I can maintain 2PPD?
Simple, just stick around and contribute until you amass 3500 posts. Then you will no longer need to maintain 2 posts per day.

Official designer requirements
There's nothing sexier than knowing youre an official designer of the best designing community on the internet. Here's what you'll need to do to be eligible:

• The following submissions:
  • 10 unique layouts (*Myspace: 10 div overlays or 20 standards.)
  • OR 10 vectors/renders
  • OR 20 banners/wallpapers
  • OR 50 avatars/icons
  • OR 15 TOTAL submissions of layouts and/or graphics. (AVATARS NOT INCLUDED)
• Variations of the same layout and graphic count as one.
• A link to us from your site (Xanga, Myspace, LJ, etc).
• No other requirements, not even minimum posts!

Official promoter requirements
If you've found CB to be a great community with wonderful resources, help us spread the word! Link us from your submissions, or from your sites. Here is the requirements:

• 10 new member referrals (zero post counts don't count)
• Link us from your site (xanga, myspace, etc).
• Referrals with zero post counts do not count.

To refer other members, you'll need to use a special link to track your referrer id. Here is the link code, replace xxx with your member number:



Member number is not the same as username, it is a numerical value! and appears under "Joined" next to your posts. Your referral count can be checked via your subdomain profile (not shown if its zero) or via forum stats (click on your username anywhere in the forums). Admins will be able to determine if you are cheating and registering new accounts under your referrer code by running an IP check.

The requirements for Official Member have been updated. The highlights are, basically:

• A new minimum of 1000 posts required.
• Lowered the ppd requirement to 2 ppd.
• Official Members will no longer be demoted for being warned once. A warning level of 20% or more will cause them to lose their status until they are able to bring it back to zero.
