Does anyone know how to make these kind of abstract filters? With specific directions, please. (: Most of the tutorial sites I have surfed all say 'just experiment' <__<; yeahh, those helped a lot. Anyone? Btw, I`m VERY sure these are filtered, not brushed. :o

Well, a lot of it does lie with experimenting... but not TOO much.
What program do you use? Because with Photoshop, PaintShop, or Gimpshop, you can find brushes with those similiar shapes, use a gradient filler and then play around with the blend modes. Generally those blend modes are Overlay, Multiply, and Screen.
If you have Photoshop, you can experiment with the pen tool to create chapes like that. However, PaintShop is easier - you can use the line tool to create lines (personally, it's a lot faster).
It all really lies with the blending modes of the layers. That's what creates the cool elements of those designs.

^ That's okay (I'm not either... don't tell anybody

) You could find great brushes that are similiar to those shapes without having to use the pen tool... that's what I'd do.

Those graphics are beautiful. I wouldn't mind finding brushes like that. If anyone finds some please PM me.

you can make a thickish line & change its shape by filter>distort>shear. i guess.. play around? then you cna maybe play with its skew/scale/perspective. there's also brushes & soft textures you can find. Another way is making those textures yourself. If you do, use C4D. Great abstract/fractal textures for you to use if you make it in that.

I believe most of those brushes are at: DA > abstract brushes.
But Maybe I should stick to textures xD

you could search fractal on DA and there should be some fractal brushes. Use those on a new layer, put it on whatever blending layer you want, and erase what bothers you/doesn't look good with a soft round brush. Lower the opacity a bit if it looks too erased.:] I do that with like every one of my graphics. >_< New habit.
