www.w3.org/Style/CSS/learning

Start there, and work your way up =/ There's no real way anyone can "teach" you besides you reading up on it, and practicing =P Um, Imageready CS2 isn't really a "coding" program, tbh. Even Microsoft Frontpage is a bit of a step up from that.

I learned a lot for website coding from this site:
www.lissaexplains.com/
Alvin
I learned alot from just looking through people's sources and observing layouts here on cB. I also learned more here: http://codeave.com/

Alright thanks guys, and i dont really mean for someone to help teach me o.O more like guide me but this is cool i'll try to check out these sites, i just dont like trying to understand this stuff by myself u know o.O, i dont go to school for this im still in high school laugh.gif but i plan on going to school for this stuff, but umm, ya i'll check out the sites, and i constantly check out the layouts on CB, but i just dont understand, how they did it, i dont think that its just pure coding like what programs where used and etc, i just bleh =\ i've sliced my layout in imageready and that works but macromedia studio is a big coding thing i know but i dont like installing it x.x

i don't think "being in high school" can be a valid excuse, kiddo =P most of these people around here "designing" are like, 12. as i said, the more you read/practice, the more sense it will make to you ^_^ it's like... math. you learn each step needed first before you can advance. no one just wakes up into a calculus class.

as i also said before, it's not completely necessary to have macromedia studi. hell, I don't have anything in the macromedia studio, and yet i've never had any problem coding or designing anything. do some reading with the links we've provided, use the resources you have, and you'll be surprised with what you can do =]

We'll im not using it as an excuse, i know alot of people that design and code really good, but im just saying thats how good i want to get, but yea i just like someone there explaining WHY, it does that, and not just saying that this does this and not knowing why ?! do u know what i mean ?! lol but ya i will deffinately look at the sites.

I understand what you mean. I guess the question "why" would have to be applied to what you're talking about, if its a simple css attribute like a font..

.mainfont {font-face:_____; font-color:#______;}

I would say it does that becuase you are applying attributes to a specific element. Just as if you were to change the font and press the color button in Microsoft word.
