Okay... I thought this could go in school but it really does have to do with books more than school.
I have to do a literary criticism for Creative Writing and I chose to do Sarah Dessen's books as a whole.
For those of you who have read more than one Sarah Dessen book what do you think the books mean? Like... what's the moral of the story or what do the characters learn?
((If someone really understands literary criticism and wants to give me some good pointers... feel free!))

I guess one big theme I get from reading her books is: Things aren't always as they seem or what you expect. Especially in This Lullaby, The Truth About Forever, and Just Listen. That new things can be scary, but it's never a bad thing to keep an open mind.

All of the books definitely involve the main character learning to depend on/trust herself and becoming stronger at the end.
