how much it cost usually at the salon?
StanleyThePanda
Around here, I think its like $18-$25. _smile.gif
You could always go to a school (cosmetology school) and get it done. haha
Mulder
it cost me $15
moorepocket
a manicure with a french finish is $15.
a french full set is $28.

Never go to the school and let them practice on you.

Twenty to thirty bucks should do the trick. _smile.gif

So on french manicures - I used to srsly love them. Heck, still do. I used to think that it was overused and because of that it lost how classic it was and blah blah blah, but I think I've always "loooked" for french manicures on people, which would explain why I saw it so often. But really, it is classic. I just.....don't have the talent to make a straight line of white on myself. mellow.gif

around here, its 15. but 28 for those fake acrilics. or however you spell it.
BOOGERSHAHA
$20 including tipping whoever does your nails.

or you can buy a set and do it yourself, if you know that you're doing. cheaper, but risky...
MyMichelle
If you do a full manicure, not just color on natural nails, anywhere from 10-40 should be fine.

Yea I agree with the price.

As for the way to do French tips - it does take time, but it's really easy. As long as you have the right tools. I do them for myself and I did them for my best friend. She's the first person and the only other person I've ever done French tips for. Just make sure you have acetone on hand, a good brush. You don't necessarily need a steady hand, because depending on the way you hold the brush, it can mean the difference between crap and flawless. :P

EDIT- Oh and by the way you hold the brush, I mean in regards to creating the perfect shape. The brush and acetone is what matters.

they usually cost 14-20 here in canada.
instead of using the normal white i used black wih a white underline underneath. it was a big hit with the friends. =3

brownsugar
Really? It costs me like $40 dollars sometimes.

One of the reasons why I hate getting my nails done _dry.gif
The main one is that it feels like it affects everything I do.
