My whole life, at school, friends have been saying "your good at drawing" or "draw me a picture" which is anime, but im not really that good.

there is one sad secret about me that completely no one knows. i dont know how to draw in angles. I am very very terrible at it. ive had exploring art but it didnt teach me how to put people in angles. just buildings which doesnt really help me with people. i wont be taking drawing and painting until 11th or 12th grade which is really sad.

im 14 going on 15 in august and i want to be very good at drawing before im 18. is there perhaps a tutorial you guys know of that would help me with doing people in angles? the people im doing is anime. i do alot of studying online =P

you guys might have seen masashi kishimotos work, how alot of his manga chapters or scenes his the tv series or naruto has so many differnt angles and persepctives.

You don't need a tutorial. You need practice! Practice practice practice!

Start with small objects first. Apples, oranges, globe, stuff like that. Then learn how to do shading/lighting on those smaller objects that you draw.

Then eventually get into more intricate things.

I'm only semi-decent w/ angles. Sometimes, my angles & their features come out looking a bit comical. Which is okay, I suppose. It's my (warped) style.

Just do some figure drawing. Get someone to pose for you in an angle and sketch it.

Or use the grid method.

practicing from observation is the best way to learn. try and get a friend to do a couple of quick poses for you to sketch, or try taking pictures of yourself in different angles and just change the body into your anime style. it's all about observation.

haha. This sounds serious. Yeah, you're best bet is to just mimic a couple paintings or drawings that you like that feature this technique. Not a big deal that you don't know how to draw in angles. I don't even know if I do. But, just because you can't draw a certain way doens't mean you aren't good. There's some type of art out there for everyone. You do what you can do, not what you others can.
