**Do your parents like you to date one type of race? White, African American, Asian ect.**

My mom like went crazy when she seen me talking to thease two African American guys at one of my volleyball games. (one of the boys liked me, said I played good and had asked for my number) When we got home she started asking me all kinds of questions.

Mom: "Who were they?"
Me: "My friends ______ and ______"
Mom: "Why were you talking to them"
Me: "Their my friends..."

Then she was saying a bunch of other stuff that I dont remember now, and she was acting kinda...racist.

Has this happened to anyone else?

i havent dated anyone of a majorly different race, but if i did im sure my dad would have a few things to say.
my bf is lebanese/french... the lebanese thing took a while for him to digest...

They try to make sure I'll never date a black person. Pisses me off. They didn't like I was friends with an Arab, who I eventually dated for awhile. They adjusted to it, realized he was good kid, but at the beginning they didn't like it. :\ They want me to stay within my heritage, Hispanic.
