Well, I signed up at FreeDNS thinking that I'd get a free domain... Although it's free, I have absolutely no clue on what to do on this site. Is it a free webhosting thing or what? I just need someone to tell me what this site basically is (in layman's terms).

Theres really no such thing as a free domain. From what I can see so far, its more of a server you can upload to... or just sub domains.

I see... darn site. It got my hopes up for nothing :[

But, there's something about DNS... what's that about?

it just makes it so you can have your own nameservers. this way you dont have to use a registrar like Godaddy.
