I agree completely
If I did spice it up and get a little dirty though, I'd most likely be called a scumbag....
it's not fair

Hey, not everyone is a girly-girl.
Don't be afraid to make a change. It's not like there are any set rules that you have to stick to.
I mean, to be honest I'm more guy than girl.

chyea! i love hanging out with guys & doing whatever they do, even if it involves getting my "like omg brand new a&f shirt" wrinkled! the other day, me & my friend crawled on our bellies through this field for an incredibly long distance [at night] trying to make as little noise as possible so that we could scare the crap out of our two friends. it was a success.
& holy cow were my jeans filthy & i had pricklies everywhere. but it was all worth it.

who doesn't do stuff like that? I may be a "girly" girl, but I get down and dirty. don't stereotype.
deplorable
Apr 29 2007, 03:34 PM
sorry if it seems like im stereotyping. maybe i am so head strong on this because im a country girl.... i dont know, but i do know that YES there are girls that will absolutely not do anything boyish. i have friends that will sit around for 45 min during lunch and talk about boys and fashion. im not making this up. im not stereotyping. im just stating what I see ( and hear) day to day.

Who cares? If it bothers you, hang out with different people.
First thing that came to mind when I saw this topic = trespassing on private property and climbing brick walls on my first date with the boyfriend... and racing around a synagogue and jumping around in the water pools after these people put out a fire in a hospital.
I think it's un-girly enough...?

So by 'spicing it up,' you mean spicing our clothes down?
Get over it. Hawt clothes don't make girls boring. It's your fault if you think girls are boring; find some fun-ner ones.

I don't understand... Wouldn't all that stuff make being a girl NOT boring? And does dirty mean, scruffy and not very put together?

Apr 29 2007, 09:52 PM
And so you're telling the rest of us that because we're girly girls, we dont have any fun?

what? just because most girls like clothing and makeup doesnt obligate you to feeel the same way. this is why we live in america, if you wanna be a tom boy then go ahead, no ones stopping you.

I always thought that the freedom to change our hairstyles from day to day, wear make up to change our facial appearance, wear different scents of body spray, different shoes, different bags, etc. was the FUN part of being a girl? Haha.
Well... I say you shouldn't care about the sterotypical image of a girl. Do what you want to do and have fun doing it... society is really not as near tight on the sterotypes of a girl and boy's traditional roles as it once was. (Think about it... girls didn't even wear pants or have jobs before!)

You've obviously lost the plot, totally. Since where is it written that girly girls can't have fun. And don't stereotype. Anyone can have fun and get abit naughty as long as it innocent and genuine. There's no rules about this, whether your a tom boy, girly girl, preppy, etc.
So go get yourself out there and have fun and don't care about what others say and think, that's my philosophy. You only live once.

I don't see why any girl can't go out and have fun either girly girl, tomboy, or whatever. *shrug* So yeah.

I'd choose tomboy over girlygirl, anyday. Beauty is only skin deep.

omg ur sooo right... i think why some girls dont want to spice it up bcuz they still have this image of the "american woman" imbedded in thier brain!!!! arrggg... if only sum woman could step out of that mind frame..boys wouldnt be the only ones able to walk around with their shirts off lolz.
i say screw spending 20 bucks on a fondation that makes u look like a ompa lopa!! eyeliner that makes ur eyes look 10x too small.....but i must admit when im not trying to get down n dirty lolz!! im puttin on the same foundation same eyeliner!!! call me a hyporctic!! or watever!! but my point is we girls need to learn to loosn up and take a stand to get out off this "girly-girl" image!!! n get down wit the bad boys!!!!! lolz
