Not really, people would just use it to brag.
Not that I really care to know who I've referred.. but:

i did check some of the "official promoters" and some of them have over 30 referrals, which makes me somewhat doubt their legitimacy. [. . .] youll be able to click on the number to see who exactly you referred. that way if all of them are members wtih 0 post counts we know somethings up. =)
