Ok, here goes...
Recently, some guy found the rcon password for my friend's Halo PC server, and banned him,
the dedicated server Admin. Now he needs to get back in, but he cant. He doesnt want to have to terminate the server, because the people who run the servers for him will charge him a fee to reset the server.
So, he realized that the ban's in Halo are based off the IP of the person that is banned. So if he changes his ip he'll he caan get in, change the rcon password, and unban the hacker.
What IP changing applications are there out there?
Thanks

Has he tried
this or
this?
He might have to just contact his ISP.

He says it's very impractical to call up the ISP since he only needs it changed for about 3 days, although we are at school at the moment so he'll try the one above later.
Thanks Rebecca!

Sure thing. :)
Perhaps someone with more technical expertise will come along and give more helpful advice as well. :)

You could have the person try it from a different location like your house, install halo and change everything from your pc.
You can also try this:
click start > RUN > cmd. A window DOS opens up
In the command line interface that appears, type ipconfig /release and press Enter. Then, type ipconfig /renew and press Enter. Exit the command prompt. Your connection should now be active.

problem solved, it was my server =P
i just opened an account, thats why quarantine posted it for me.
Oh, btw, the install halo on another computer thing doesnt work because ban's blacklist CDKey hashes, the profile name, and the IP all at once.
