Full Version: Getting a Prom date

I'm pretty much ready for prom. I got my dress, shoes, and so on and so forth. But what I've been putting off was getting a DATE. Yep, I'm trying to put it off but the more I do that the more closer it seems to be. Already people are asking other people and I feel that I'm not going to be able to find a person. Especially I'm not very outgoing and not very pretty compared to fake tanned blondies at my school. =/ I don't think that I'm butt ugly. Most of all my friends are going with someone. So going with friends is out of the question. I don't have a big crush on a guy to ask me or vis versa.

What should I do? Does anyone have tips to get a date? _unsure.gif

oh my goodness aimee! i've seen your pics and you're not ugly at all! you're perhaps a bit too pretty. lol. hmm do you have any like good guy friends that aren't going with anyone? i mean, i promised my friend that i would go with him and we're just going as good friends since i've known him for like 5 years. :P

*sadness* Quyen [hope I got you name right] lol.
I wish there is a guy that's my friend that would ask me. Except they are all taken from my other friends. lol
I have only like 3 guy friends. Yes I'm a dork. =P
NgocQuyen
lol ! no you're not either ! lols. why don't you snag one of those 3 before they get taken as well? lol.

Anyways of asking a guy? Or hinting a guy you should ask me lol.

Yes, show him your boobs with the words, "Wanna go to prom with me?" Instant yes, I guarantee it.

five guys asked me, 3 from my school and 2 from the state where i previously lived.
i'm not going though. i'm not into dances; only been to 3 school dances in my life:
8th grade grad dance,
11th grade back to school dance and
11th grade homecoming.

but the main reason i'm not going to prom is because i hate my school.

ahhh i have the same problem.. i hate when people around me talk about prom because then i dont have a date to go with. at least u have more guy friends than me.

one month left..and i dont think anybody is gonna ask me.
i know how you feel

if you happen to finally find out how to get a date, please tell meee too.
:]

i think everyone that doesn't have a date should just go to the prom looking SMOKIN' hot, and dance with every single guy there.
My Cinderella.
Just find a guy pal and go with him. You don't have to stick with him the whole prom at least since you guys aren't going as dates. Just let loose and have fun and don't sweat it. _smile.gif

Ask someone in your classes. Make it casual. Try and relax, it should be fine. Good luck in getting a prom date. thumbsup.gif

Think of ANYBODY you know who is free for the night... are there any guys who are nice/at least partly your friend who you'd have fun with? Ask them. :)

Or then again.. you could always go without a date. It won't kill you, you'll still have fun.

I agree.
Even if they do say no, at least you won't be kicking yourself later saying "I should have just asked them"

(and yes, that is from experience, haha)

lol words shouldn't hurt you ! lol. you don't have to walk up to some random guy. perhaps an acquaintance of some kind if all of your guy friends are taken! lol. who would say no to you anyways? lol. that's just insane woman. haha :P just relax and just do it. it's just ehh. who would be so heartless to answer you meanly anyways? and even if they were then that just means you shouldn't be going with a punk like him anyways :D right right right? ;)
