there are a lot better anime out there besides those choice you pointed out like inuyasha, fushigi yuugi, aishiteruze baby, samurai champloo, chrono crusade, saiyuki, R.O.D., bubblegum crisis tokyo 2040, chobits, etc...but yea those are pretty good anime...it pissed me off that naruto got licensed by sho pro...bleach rocks!! dbz's story line was basically the same thing over and over so itx not realy a big surprise later on in the series and itx soo mainstream, the americanized one piece suckx and fullmetal is pretty good...

Rurouni Kenshin OVA shall remain the top on my list

For something 4 episodes long, it evoked such a feeling normally accomplished by an entire series.

I think that DBZ was a very decent anime. It deserves way more credit than most people give it. As I said in other topics, how could it have been very popular if it wasn't good.
I've already seen most of the animes on your list already.

I actually enjoyed Full Metal Alchemist though. ;D

I've watched over 20 anime titles, so I know my anime~ ^_^v Some of these anime series, I watch them in 2 days. BUT I'm still 3rd in my class and going to international science fair! Let's just say I haven't watched TV in my house for 5 years. MWA HA HA
1. Hikaru no Go (mainly because of it's reflection of Japanese culture, storyline, and music.)
2. Naruto (what can I say? If you start now, you have 20 min x 256 to catch up)
3. Bakuretsu Tenshi (just watched it... it's the best anime w/ mecha)
4. Full Metal Alchemist (awesome music, storyline, characters)
5. Eva (classic, good theme song)
5. Trigun (humerous, but VERY serious at end. This dramatic change is disturbing)
6. Slayers (all three seasons, nicely made. It's one of the first anime I watched)
7. *This anime about dodgeball, I watched it in Korea*
8. *This anime about an angel, also watched it in Korea*
9. Pokemon (JUST KIDDING!! I can't believe Pokemon is even considered one)
10. Cowboy Bepop (This has to be in my list. It was a project done by non pros. amazing...)
There are more, but most of them I watched when I was in korea 7 years ago. So.. the top ones are what you most likely heard of. I heard Gost in the Shell was good, but not appealing to me. I heard .HACK//SIGN was disappointing.... but there are huge fans for that too.
I watch all these anime long time ago, or illegally downloaded and snuck out to computer room when my parents were asleep. That's how I finish a series in 2 days! I hope you don't know me, so you won't tell anyone.
The ones on the top are must-sees, if you call yourself an obsessed anime fan.
More people who don't care about picture quality and likes BLOOD, see Bizzark (and Spongebob)

^ not bad choices, but what do you mean by "20 min x 256"? naruto's on episode 126 -.-, so you mean 126? and...by "Bizzark", you mean "Berserk"?
anyways, here are my top 10:
1- Elfen Lied
2- Rurouni Kenshin: Reminiscence (AKA: Samurai X - Trust & Betrayal)
3- Hikaru no Go
4- Great Teacher Onizuka
5- Full Moon o Sagashite
6- Kimi ga Nozomu Eien
7- Gungrave
8- Neon Genesis Evangelion
9- Happy Lesson: Advance
10- Azumanga Daioh
and its outa 150 i've watched over 5 years, so might have forgotten some of the older ones..i'll add later.

Bleach is probably the best u had in your list, the rest either sucks (Full Metal Alchemist and Naruto) or are somewhat OK (Bleach).

All of them, besides the Dragon Ball series, are good. But I mean.. I hate how the list consists of well-known, licensed anime. 5/7 of the anime listed are on Cartoon Network.
My favorite anime of all time so far that I've seen?
Ayashi no Ceres. Runner up is Chobits. These two are my ultimate favorites because they both made me cry a lot. Both in the manga AND the anime.

- Ayashi no Ceres
- My Neighbor Totoro
- Castle in the Sky
- Azumanga Daioh
- Chobits (it's not really that perverted! It's so sweet!
I) - One Piece (heard it's really good, as good as the manga!)
- Samurai X
- Akira
- Princess Mononoke
- Earthians - Even though the two guys are sort of.. *ahem* gay lovers.. it's really sad at the end.
- Detective Conan
