Do you have songs that you really like, but then the video comes out and it was a lot different than you expected.

There is one video in particular that I liked the song but I wasn't feeling the video.
It was Usher ft. Alcia Keys - My Boo. Before the video shoot I specifically told Usher not to put his hand on my woman.

Other songs I liked but I thought the videos were terrible were
Chris Brown - Say Goodbye

Omarion - IceBox

Usher - Let It Burn

Justin Timberlake ft. TI - My Love

Sammi - You Should Be My Girl
WHIMSICAL 0NE
Eh, there's been some songs that I've thought they could do nice videos for but instead they've just made it a performance video shrug.gif Nothing really comes to mind at this moment.

Hey, I like the "Ice Box" video. The ending is retarded, but it's okay.

I was disappointed in Justin's "SexyBack." Everyone was disappointed by Beyonce's "Deja Vu."

"Say it Right" by Nelly Furtado... what's with those hand movements?

"Here in Your Arms" by Hellogoodbye. it's just overboard-geekiness for me.
Jinny
she's like the wind is a great song. but the music video.. was plain stubborn.gif

be good to me by ashley tisdale. idk, she reminds me of a slut or something. _unsure.gif
i like the song though.

i really hated the sweet escape video by gwen stefani/akon. i just.. didnt like it =/
synthase
^ Yeah..I really didn't like The Sweet Escape either ermm.gif
I also don't like Everytime We Touch by Cascada..It was a pointless video
hi-C
Anything by Cascada is pointless.

Icebox. As many times as I seen the video I just don't get how it even relates to the song. Well ok the first 5 seconds of it do, but the rest was dumb. Then the ending , I really got lost. pinch.gif
My Cinderella.
Here in Your Arms - HelloGoodbye
Sunday Morning - Maroon 5
Hurt - Christina Aguilera
Everytime we touch - Cascada

I hate music videos that comprise of ONLY the artist dancing around while singing. I don't know... I just feel music videos should actually be even a tiny bit meaningful to be good.

I was disappointed in the 'The Sweet Escape' music video.
I was also disappointed in 'Here in Your Arms'... especially since I really like that song. Blegh.

There are some music videos that can make you fall in love with the song even more and really bring out the lyric's meanings, but most videos detract from the overall effect of the song- since I usually conjure up some kind of mental image and get terribly disappointed at what the band/artist chooses to portray.

Srsly, it was like one huge WTF moment.

There's been a bunch of dissapointing ones, but I thought the "Chasing Cars" video for Snow Patrol was absolutely absurd. And the more I think about, JT's "What Goes Around Comes Around" video makes cheating seem like it's punishable by death.

I think Cassie is one of the most physically hot women in the industry but NOTHING could save her "Me and U" video. "Under a severe budget" doesn't quite explain the video. Same for BEP's "My Humps."

Sadly, I really liked all of the songs listed 'cept for Cassie. Srsly. sad.gif

I definitely agree. If there is actually something GOING ON in the video, then I dont have a problem with it.
But if its just shots of the artist dancing, it bothers me.

@ Madame C - Yeah according to the impression i get from youtube comments, a lot of people either get the concept of the video or they don't. The ones who understand the concept really like it and the one that don't understand don't. I liked the remix with Usher, he should redo the video and put Usher in it. Maybe they can do a dance routine together.

@ &/degradanca. - I don't know, I actually like dance videos, depending on who the dancer is and if they can actually dance, like Chris Brown - Yo , Usher - Yeah, and Usher - U don't have to Call, Usher - You Got it Bad, although U got it bad actually had a storey behind the video. I like dance videos as long as they have fresh and innovative moves, but I understand where you coming from.

@ toyo loco - Why didn't he get advice from Marues Houston?

@Hakuna Matata - See I told Suzzette Cassie was attractive. stubborn.gif I liked a bunch of her songs also , but the mainstream Ne and U video was horrible except for the part where she kisses the mirror. I did like the underground Me and U video though because there was this one part where she trips and falls.

I couldn't've taken anything more elaborate for "My Humps." The song is a joke, and it was supposed to be a "video B-side," (yay, creating terms!) I believe, for "Like That," which has creativity coming out the wah-zoo.

I did not like the music video of Timberland- Give it to me ft. Nelly and Justin. It's just too last minute to me. It seemed like people like the music so they just put a video together. mellow.gif

Anthrax's video for the song Fueled. Should have been done in cheap technicolor, and the joyriding scenes should have been excerpts from the movie The Death Race of the year 2000.

FROM YESTERDAY by 30 SECONDS TO MARS

MUSIC VIDEOS NEED NOT BE 13 MINUTES LONG JEEBUS CHRIPES

I liked all of em but the last two. I think the worst video was stupid shyt like Hilary duff - So Yesterday or Avril Lavgine - Complicated. ugh pointless

last night - diddy ft keyshia cole. i'm in love with that song, but i was disappointed in the video.

tell me - diddy ft. christina aguilera; i used to like that song a lot, but the music video = sick.gif
they didn't even film together; they were in two totally different places..

this ain't a scene, it's an arms race - the music video.. i expected more from them.
