What are certain beliefs you have that you hide from your parents and loved ones because if they did know it might just start a family crisis?

Do you come from a strict catholic family that dosnt belive in abortion when you have seacretly gotten 3 of them?


No sex till marrige your parents say-But nope you dont feel thats fair if you feel you found the one already?

Mine would be I suppose being Lesbian/Homosexual/Bisexual.I think my mum would kill me if she found out I was bisexual and some of the lovely "adventures" ive had.

The no sex before marrige is a big one. My mother is strict roman catholic and she would die if she found out I wasn't a virgin.

Alcohol is another big one to.

No, my parents have a deep trust and respect for me and I think the least I could do is reciprocate this, religious beliefs or not.

The fact that I'm agnostic and have had more than a sip of alcohol AND gotten a tattoo...yeah those would all give my strict parents a heart attack.

I "came clean" a few years ago with my mom. She thought I lost my virginity WAY after I really did. She didn't know of any of my more provocative habits when it comes to certain substances (in the past ;)).

I told her the truth about both.

To be honest, there really isn't a whole lot I could do to shock my parents.

My mother would be unhappy about smoking, actually, but that is pretty much it...

Definately the premarital sex thing. If my parents knew about something like that, I would be thrown out of the house before I could say SIKE! Not to mention the use of drugs.

They don't question much, but I question everything.
The sex before marriage thing, I'm not sure of. All she told me was "to wait for someone special" when I was two. Way to be clear on that mom.

they probably wouldn't agree with a lot of choices i make and i hate the feeling of them being disappointed although that enough doesn't really stop me from making bad decisions. i feel like i have to hide stuff in order to "protect" them.

they wouldn't agree if i dated outside my race, but they can't stop me.

they wouldn't agree if they knew i drank before

stuff like this i know they would feel i put my family in shame.

they would flip a shit about premarital sex, homosexuality and drug use. they don't care that much about drinking, but i'm not going to tell them about all the times i've gotten drunk.

my parents were against dating for both my sister and i, then just a lot of shit happened and they found out, so now they know about our boyfriends.

drugs... it has already been rammed into my head i shouldnt take non-over the counter drugs ahah. ive tried smoking, once, tasted nasty sorry. in general its juss not appealing to me, its really dumb. ::shrugs:: thats just me.

sex... my mom found a box of condoms while goin through my stuff one day and screamed at me about it. they're obviously against it, so im not gonna bother gettin into that lol.

I don't think I could shock them in any way, since it's quite easy to talk to my father and my mother is like a human polygraph anyways. As a matter of fact, I remember my dad didn't tell me much about his teenage years until I was 18; and it was for a good reason, too.

One way or another, the truth always comes out with them.

Oh, god. I'd be kicked out of the house for sure. For pretty much anything. The smallest thing can tick off my parents. Geez, I already get screamed at if I get a B on something in school.
If I hide a bad grade, then a small family crisis erupts.

Things that my Mom doesn't know because I think it'd give her mini heart attacks:

- I have a boyfriend and have been dating him for half a year
- Did everything but sex with boyfriend
- I've gotten drunk before
- my grades aren't as high as she'd like to think they are

And that i chose a girl over my supposed "perfect guy" hahaha - she would kill me for that XD

I'm pretty open with my mom, so there aren't a lot of secrets and it's quite possible that she even suspects the one we don't talk about.. I gave up my religion a couple of years back and never told anyone in my family. I don't know how they'd react if they knew.

Well I have really strong beliefs about paranormal things, mainly because I have experienced some extremely strange things during my life.
I've tried to recount my experiences to them, but they don't take me seriously. So I've pretty much given up trying to share my unconventional beliefs with them now.

Is this just about beliefs, or about things we've done?

I can't post that here anyway, because my dad will somehow read it.

Yeah your lucky.If the tattoo you are refering to is the one as your avatar then you are very lucky.I have my left shoulder blade with a Black angel wing and my right blade with a white angel wing,Its quite large and I made the mistake of keeping the bathroom door unlocked when i was taking a shower and my mum walked into the room and saw and then DIED.

My parents would completely go nuts about what I've done with my boyfriend, which does NOT involve anything sexual... But they go nuts about me knowing him at all so there we go. I've already been halfway kicked out from it.

And they'd definitely kick me out if I was lesbian/bisexual.
And I guess if they knew about me hugging people at school they'd go crazy.

Then I just have crazy moments when I really am quite sadistic, so I'm glad they can't read my mind... and then that I give away my food at school and sneak my meals back into the fridge or to my dog (but they can't tell because my mom cooks that much).

No drugs or smoking or alcohol...I don't plan to do those, though it'll probably happen at least once.
