Ughhh. .I have really big legs. .like umm the cabs area. .and I really want to make it more slim. I just don`t know how. Anyone have tips? Not fashion tips to hide it. . .
any help appreciated.

Jogging, biking?

I know what you mean though, my legs are the hardest part for me to slim down. One thing that really helped me was using the stationary bike. It helps the rest of your body too but esspecially your legs. Doing lunges and squats will help them get more toned and stronger, but I would deffinately suggest jogging, biking, or even walking.

Although I'm considered skinny, I have incredibly toned, buff calves. (spelling?) I'm not sure why; I want skinny legs, too. I don't think there's much you can do if your legs are muscle. If they are fat, you can run and exercise and diet healthily.

when i go to the gym, there are these...sking machines. that's not what they're called though. i forget the name of them, but they help alot with your legs.

Running!! is the best solution for every health issue! If its fat, and you start running it'll tone into muscle.if its already muscle? well erino... _dry.gif i have toned calves...played sports since i can remember!! tongue.gif

Not to sound repetitive, but running is best, or biking maybe.
I'm sure it applies to girls too, but there's a guy in my PE class who is a super fast runner, and has stick legs. Like literally.

I have been struggling with my legs for EVER!

I think it all depends on what kind of legs you have and your body shape.

If you have legs like mine...they are just naturally larger...they will never ever be pencil thin. However, you can keep them toned by walking, jogging, and also i do this scissor excersizes while I watch tv. Just lay on your side and put your leg up and down over and over again. Sounds stupid but works wonders...

JUMPING ROPE! I'm pretty sure that gets the calves/back of thighs area. Biking, jogging, walking; they all help, as well.
Intercourse.
Run, cycling something along those lines if its just fat. Although if its muscle then your out of luck... mellow.gif

Running, toe raises, bicycling, etc. I'm sure if you google it you can come up with something.

If your legs aren't skinny because of fat, then yes, you can excersize to tone them down; go running, it's beneficial in so many ways besides your legs too.

If your legs aren't skinny because of MUSCLE, then I don't think you can do anything about it. Just be happy with the fact that you're already fit. _smile.gif

Great, toned legs can be yours too if you are ready to take some time off your busy schedule and get started with a simple exercise regimen. It takes more than just running or brisk walking to attain those absolutely divine legs. You need to do regular crunches, squats and plunges. 10 repetitions everyday would guarantee leaner, shapely calves. Even simple skipping helps you to tone the flab around the waist, hips and the calves. But it must be done consistently and in a months time you will see the results for yourself.

Here are a few easy-to-do exercises and the best part is you don't need to go to the gym or buy some fancy exercise equipment.

Try some squats:
Stand in front of a chair or bench with your feet wide apart. Bend your knees as though you're sitting on the chair, keeping your weight on your heels. When your legs are parallel with the seat of the chair, slowly rise to your original standing position.

Take a wide stance with your toes pointing outward. Standing upright, slowly bend your knees in the direction of your toes until you can no longer see your toes. Slowly return to the starting position.

Do some wall sits:
With your back touching the wall, move your feet away from the wall. Bend your knees so that your legs form a 90-degree angle. Stay in the position for as long as you can.

Go for a lunge:
With your arms by your side, take a giant step forward with your right leg and raise it so your thigh becomes parallel with the floor. Pushing backward off the same leg, return to your starting position. Repeat with the left leg. Kneel down on a mat onto your knees and elbows with both feet flexed (toes pulled in). Kick up and out with one leg, squeezing the buttocks, extending leg straight out, keeping hips square to the ground during the movement. Bend knee in and return to start, a minimum of 20 each side would be great.

Standing Stretch:
Stand about 12 inches away from wall. Place forearms against wall and lean forward. Step back with the right leg, keeping the right leg straight and press the right heel down. Feel mild tension in the right calf. Hold for 15 seconds, and then repeat on other side.

Apart from the exercise, regularly massaging your legs and feet with a nourishing body lotion or cream right from the toes upwards for 15 minutes everyday will relax your legs too. These few leg exercises, if practised consistently, will shape you up for a full 10. So go ahead ! Start off today!

Try a wall sit for a good minute, that should work your quads. Then do half squats about 15 a set. 3 sets are fine. You can always run up stairs, which works your hamstrings.
