wow. whomever made that did a great job with the smooth edges.
anyways, you cut out the part you want to be colored with your lasso tool. then you right click and copy the object. after that, make the entire image grayscale and right click again. chose paste this time. drag the object that you pasted to the place where it used to be & wallah. for smoother edges, zoom in & take your time.

You have to hand brush the color in yourself. Yeah, it takes a while. You're going to need patience and accuracy (preferably something like a Wacom tablet). thumbsup.gif

A rather simple method of going about this is creating two layers of the same image, desaturate the top layer, and erase whatever you want in color.

If you have the patience, use this tutorial. cool.gif

I HAVE PHOTOSHOP 9 CS2 NOT PAINTSHOP PRO:cool:

it works the exact same way.

but, i'll just give you the steps right now.
1. duplicate layer (containing the image)
2. with the duplicate selected, desaturate the image (image - adjustments - desaturate)
3. using the polygon lasso tool, select the area on the image that you want to be in color, and delete it from the black and white layer.

and i don't even have ps.
