I have darkish brown hair and I want to put purple highlights... Well, actually only a strand of it....

I used to have purple undertones and then purple highlights and then purple tips. I love purple!

I think it would look okay, depending on your skin color. Honestly, brown does not flatter purple very much; it looks better with black. But I guess it would look ..interesting.

just dont go wacko with the purple
like bright purple
but a more natural tone would look better

If anything, make sure you do more than just one strip.

Brown and purple dont really go well together. But you can try it.
If you dont like it, you can always colors over it.
