Hi there

Just looking for some advice.

If I can't post a link to my blog, which is a humour blog, in this forum, which is on a blog site and is a humour section on the blog site, then where can I post it?

I'm not trying to sell nothing. Just want to get people reading my blog. This is a simple and honest desire. The corporate beast has not dined from my belly.

Any help greatly appreciated as clearly posting about a humour blog in a humour blog forum is not the done thing.

Nice. When I posted a link earlier, I had some jobsworth netalomaniac scoulding me with proverbial hot water within one minute.

Now that I want some advice, there's just silence. Nice to know that we're all here to help each other, not just jump at the first available opportunity to put people down and throw weight around.

Posts Merged. :) We try not to double post here. If at all possible, please edit as opposed to double posting. -- Duchess of Dork

Hello :)

I apologize if it seemed like we were hasty in closing/removing links. I think I had mentioned PMing me if you had questions, but it seems like you posted instead.

You can certainly post your blog in the humor section, if it's a humorous site (or a parody site, something along those lines). If you want to show off your blog, you can do that in any of cooresponding Showcase forums (ie, if your blog is a Blogger site, post it in the Blogger Showcase).

I'm going to go ahead and move this to Feedback, if you don't mind since it's a site related question.

I apologize again, for any confusion or frustration we might have caused.

PS, sorry for the delay, I just got back to my computer.

Aw shucks Duchess, thanks for the help.

Sorry to moan - just seemed a little bit like I came along and got a real handslap. It would have been handy if that first person with the penguin had offered me this advice rather than trying to be funny and bossy all at the same time. (For the record, being bossy and funny only works if you are clown shoes.)

Clown shoes!

PS Hold on I don't get it - you say I'm allowed to post it in the humour section, but isn't that what I did when I was told off? I don't understand!
