Ok when I take a shower and after I've washed my hair and all that junk, when I ring out my hair, like a hand full falls out. That's an exageration but a lot still comes out. The same happens when I brush my hair and it's embarrassing when I get my hair cut and they wash it and then comb it and it comes out a whole lot. Anyone else have this promblems or know how to stop the hair from falling out?

I don't think that's really a problem at all. I mean, hair is constantly falling out as you speak. It's just that when you wash your hair or brush it, you're removing it all together, that's maybe why it looks like a lot. It happens to just about everyone, I think.

Michelle is right.
Don't worry, that happens to me too. I don't mind since I have thick hair.

It really isnt anything to worry about at all. The only point in time when this should concern you is when you start getting bald spots or literal hand fulls of hair...otherwise dont sweat it.

100-200 hairs fall out of your head a day, but if you have long, dark, thick hair it may look like more. If you start to see bald spots or anything like that... you should probably get that checked out.

If it really is A LOT of hair, like your hair is dramatically thinning, I know that taking pregnancy vitamins will help your hair grow back stronger (and your cuticles). You do NOT have to be pregnant to take pregnancy vitamins, if anyone asks. And they will NOT get you pregnant. If anyone assumes that. hahaha

It's normal. Like already said people lose around 100 hairs a day. It seems like a lot. It happens to me too, it's nothing to worry about unless you lose big clumps or it becomes painful.

Has anyone taken pregnancy vitamins (without being pregnant, of course)?
I kind of want to try. My hair's pretty weak..sauce.
Maybe you're wringing out your hair too enthusiastically.

Actually, this doesn't happen to me.
But as everyone says, it's normal. Some peoples scalps are more sensitive then others.

I'm the same. It doesn't really make a difference to me since my hair looks the same every day anyways. The only thing that bugs me is that the hair will be sticking out shorter than the others when it grows back in, lol.

Happens to me all the time. My hair is everywhere and my mom complains about it. It doesn't really matter because I have thick hair, but it's just annoying with the hair everywhere, even after I clean the ground.

it could also be the shampoo u are using.. panteen-pro-v is one of the worse it makes ur hair fall out.. but they have a new one that i tired.. its one of there restore series and i noticed that my hair didnt fall out much. the one with the red label. its because of the alcohol in it that makes it fall out... um also biologe is good brand but expensive..

if there's like a LOT of hair and if you tie your hair up in a ponytail then it could be too tight. hair falls out all the time though. it's normal. it just makes room for new hairs to grow in ;)

Its normal if not a LOT of hair falls out.
You should see a doctor if you see bald spots.
Other than that..
Try to not tie your hair up so tightly and try changing shampoo brands.

My hair has been doing the same thing! I mean it's not just a little bit coming out, it's been coming out alot. Like I can wash/condition my hair and when I ring it out like...30 pieces of hair come out. that sounds sick but oh well. haha.

I had the same problem too!
(Well, I still do).
It was really alarming at first! I thought if I kept going at that rate, I would be bald in a month! My doctor said that an average person can lose 50 hairs a day and still be totally normal, so if it helps your sanity, COUNT them. You'll see that it's not much over 50.
Good luck :)

Vitamins are really good... Especially Vitamin E, Skin/Hair/Nail Vitamins, and yes... Prenatal/Pregnancy vitamins!! Also trims, drinking lots of water and not wearing tight hair bands help...
You guys are silly
You can't get pregnant from a pill!
