Wandered among those memories of long ago
Wishing they were still alive today
Desperately wishing time would slow?

Have you ever felt the wrath of your past
Come creeping up on you?
With its torment slowly dragging you down
Dragging towards memories only you would know?

Have you ever felt the pain
Run through your veins again?
As memories are rummaged once more
As the hurt repeatedly reigns?

Has your past ever tortured you
To a point beyond belief?
With pain and regret flowing in you heart
Leaving you with only grief?

Have you ever wandered among the past?
Revisited it time and time again?
Clung to memories of old
Wishing they'd never end?

i don't think its amaturish. actually i don't know anything about poetry, but to me i thought that was very good...and realistic. realism is better than something that doent even make sense. i really liked it =]
