is it bad to hold in a sneeze

It's your bodies reaction to get something out of your nose that could be harmful... like dust or something... idk... why would you bother with holding back a sneeze?

so you wouldnt spit everywhere

You could just have a tissue handy and use it to cover your mouth for when you feel a sneeze coming on.

Sometimes it just makes you have to sneeze more.

I don't think it'll kill yah [maybe just be slightly uncomfortable]

But if your body is trying to get something out of your system,
I think it'd be best to let it get it out.

Sometimes when I hold back a sneeze it makes my throat hurt...

my dance teacher taught me to say "grapefruit grapefruit grapefruit" over and over again until you think the sneeze is gone

I think you should just let the sneeze come out. Obviously, you're sneezing for a reason. It won't be horrible for you, but you probably should sneeze.
