Most of the time, when I submit my site to a free blog directory that checks @submission time for the required reciprocal link (e.g. Bloggeries), the submission fails, as the reciprocal link is not detected.

Some blogdirectory-support staff said this was a common problem of Blogger... Even though I would not understand how it could be.

In some cases, one can get away with NOT putting the reciprocal link in the main page (through the template), but putting it into a blog-entry (with an old date), and having the reciprocal URL point to that blog-entry page...

Anyone encountering the same problem?

No, this is what some blog directories' support staff claimed in reply to my query 'why is your reciprocal link detector not seeing your link on my main page?'... They pointed the finger at Blogger...

The workaround was my making...

So the question is: any Blogger users out there who have similar problems with directories needing recip-links (e.g. insane, blogsweet,...)
