Try unplugging it from its power source and plugging it back in. If that doesn't work, you need to get it sent to Microsoft.

Consoles are like cars. Some are just lemons. Looks like you got a lemon. I'm sure they'll replace it though. Especially with that new extended warranty they passed.

Did you buy your 360 when it first came out? I never buy a system when it first comes out. Usually best, like most things, to wait 'til the bugs are out.
