Caffeine Monologue

Sleep.
My blackened escape
Forever slumber of woes
Mental shopping for blanketed fantasy,
Checkout aisle for burdened journey.
Sleep.
Universe in my mind drowns in midnight coffee,
Overflowing of discontent sugar
And lazy cream riot interventions.
Sleep.
Fertilizer for a dream
Provoked by sweet tale madness.
Sleep.
My artificial death.
Sleep.
Pseudo-suicide: the monster under my covers,
Fear that kisses my eyelids open,
Running an invisible race with no finish.
Sleep.
The letter I never receive,
the heartache I never breathe,
the air I couldn't choke,
the struggle never ensued,
the sex I never wrote,
the right I never left,
the insomnia I couldn't slumber.
Sleep.
The stranger I run awake to.

I suck at saying in-depth comments and whatnot, but I don't know...I like the repetition and the structure quite a bit and just the whole idea. Nice work.
