I always check out the bestsellers first. And, when I have time, I'll look through the entire fiction section. When I have even more time, I'll check out young adult.

I go straight to the "Young Adults" part of the store to look for a book. After a while, I'll probably head to the cafè and get a frapp. Or go to the music/art/recreation section.

AP BOOKS. I'm a regular at the local Barnes&Noble; they recognize me because there was a time near the beginning of the year when all the AP books were sold it, so I went in like, every other day to check if they were there yet. And they kept telling me they weren't getting any more shipments.

A month later they were there.

Straight to the cafe. After that, I head to the comics section if they have any (they usually have some trades). If I'm still there, I'll head to either the Autobiographies or books on Philosophy.

Straight to the magazine section. I find something interesting then I head over to the cafe. After I'm done I browse the bookstore. The music section is near the cafe so I stop there. Then I head over to see what the lastest books are in the Graphic Design corner of the store. From there I browse nonficition then fiction books. Lastly, I stop by the Photography, Travel, and Religious sections. Yes, all in that order.

I usually go to the new literature section, which is usually right up front by the door. They have all the new interesting looking popular books. Then I go to teen novels, or the rest of the literature section. I also like looking at all the notebooks and scrapbooks and picture frame stuff there is.

I normally head straight for the history section to see what's new [no pun intended.] I then make my way to the "classic lit" section becauce I read the classics for kicks. I normally end my visit in the travel section, dreaming over books on Britain, making plans for my future trip.

One of the following: sci-fi (woo Gaiman!), photography, and if those fail me, classic lit. I do more of my reading at home, though, with books from the library. :) More time efficient/cost effective.
