Gay porn, may I ask?

I haven't looked at gay porn in stores. But at home, I'm all homo.

Well, half homo. You get the idea.
Tung
I guess you sound like the type of person I would invite to my apartment.

When I go to borders' I usually check out their bargain sections and then to young adults to anime/manga section. BUt when I'm in b&n I go to the young adults/fiction section. From that point I go to the music area and sometimes to Starbucks. _smile.gif
Pooonani
Meh, I'm into fiction and young adult stuff. Everything else is just unappealing.

Teesa
i check the best-sellers table and sometimes the new stuff that's out. then, i randomly walk around through the literature, psychology, and sometimes art sections. after i've picked up a few selections, i sit down at the cafe.
brooklyneast05
when you walk in a book store, what section do you tend to usually go to first?
superstitious
This is going to sound so cheesy, but the cookbook section. I have a definite cookbook fetish. I have an entire bookshelf stocked with nothing but cookbooks.
brooklyneast05
yeah, i never understand the cookbook thing. my mom has a ton of cookbooks and she rarely ever uses over 3 or 4 of them.

i usually first gravitate to the politics and current affairs. i think i pretty much skim over the entire nonfiction section before going to fiction. there's something more appealing to me about nonfiction books, but at the same time i can't really handle reading very many nonfiction books in a row. i have to have a break and read some made up nonsense.
superstitious
It makes sense that you would gravitate towards nonfiction. You seem to have a keen interest in current events, you listen to NPR and obviously think about the world.

A friend of mine subscribes to Science and Tech type magazines and always migrates towards Technology or Computer type books.

It seems that something that is a pattern of interest to you would also be a likely subject/section of books you'd head towards initially.

On a side note, I actually do use mine regularly. ;) Some are specific to holidays, some are specific to things that children can help out with.
brooklyneast05
the four ingredient cookbook is all i need in life.
Gigi
I always check the best sellers first because you can get discounts on them. Then, if I have a lot of time, I'll go through the entire fiction section.

And if I have even more time, I'll look at the Graphic Art books...lots of cool ones about advertisements, logos, packaging design. Then I'll check out the Beauty/Style section, because I love to look through the Kevyn Aucoin book and see how makeup can make Gwyneth Paltrow and Nicole Kidman look completely freakin' different.

I can spend 2+ hours in a bookstore, no problem.
Teesa
same topic, no?

Manga, First thing, no exceptions. Even if it's on a corner in the back. Then Depending on whats closest, fiction, romance, Best sellers. I usually get the best sellers on the way out since they're usually behind the cashier. I've always been a softie for love stories though...
paolabear20
I have been trying to read all of Kurt Vonnegut's works so I usually go straight to his section. Then if I am with my friends I look around their genres.
DoubleJ
To the counter to get my books I reserved lol! Then to the starbucks counter, and then to the magazine. For the next few months, it will be to the testing sections for Asvab and Fire Dept.

I go to Young Adult, or the Top 10 Books section.

Sadly, I don't get to go to bookstores as much as I'd like. Really, I only go when I specifically need a book.
