Tea tree oil (melaleuca oil)

Anyways, does anyone ever have problems with tea tree oil on their skin which is supposed to fight blemishes?

does the oil dries out your skin? wrinkles? or whatever?
multifaceted
I don't believe it will dry out your skin because it is an oil after all.

But I have not had any experience (that I know of) in relation to tea tree oil.

yeah, i don't think any type of oil can dry skin. lol.

anyways, i've actually never heard of it. :x

Tea Tree Oil is really good actually, I've used it for some blemishes that were really sensitive. THe good thing about it, is that it doesn't have any harsh cleaners or toxins in it, so it's really gentle and good for your skin.

I mean, I don't think it cures really bad acne,
but it does work though.
The smell is interesting, and you might feel a cooling sort of ting
to it. But it's worth looking into.
It doesn't make ur skin wrinkley or anyhting, don't worry.
It didn't really dry it out either.
But my skin is probably different then yours.
You should try it, it's safer then most products on the shelves.

yes tto does dry your skin. thats why you should use it in small amounts. don't spread it all over ur face. spot treat. since it's so drying it's supposed to dry up the blemish. so use only a little

thank you ;]

it does dry out my skin a little
what's your skin type ?

does benzle perioxde(sp?) and salyaic acid(sp?) dries out your skin ? how bad?

^i've always used benzoyl peroxide products like neutrogena on-the-spot acne treatment, they proved to clear all my acne away while salicylic acid kind of irritated my skin and wasn't near as effective. initially when your skin still needs to get used to it (the benzoyl peroxide), it can really dry up your skin + make it feel kind of tight. then again, i use it pretty liberally, not just on the blemish, so that pimples don't come back. but after a while, your skin will feel just fine with it on.

I don’t want the feeling. I just want the skin not to look ugly. When my skin dried out, it never regenerates completely in a year or two. I guess my skin is weak for a guy. My skin is extremely soft.

^ohhh.
maybe you should stick with tea tree oil then.
as long as you moisturize after you use it, it shouldn't cause too much trouble.

I use benzoyl peroxide, but it does dry out my skin a little.
I've never heard of tea tree oil, but I think I'm going to look for it.

my skin is oily/sensitive/blackhead prone. i don't use neutrogena or clearasil products. they are all crap on my face. i like salicylic acid. though the neutrogena one didn't work for me or the clearasil(those arel all worthless after a couple of days) i found a product that was light and had enought SA. it gently exfoliates(brings dead skin and crap out of yoour pore and sloughes off the dead skin on the surface) and makes my skin softer. i'm trying to use Avene Diacneal so see if it works.

It is good because it is natural.

I suggest opening your pores with steam before applying it to the skin.

I never used tea tree oil for skin uses. When I was little and spent alot of time at my gpa's house whenever me or my sister had a sore throat my gpa would take a throat swab and swab the back of our throats and within a couple of days we would feel better.

For curing acne, I'm using this bottle on Clindamycin phosphate 1% topical solution. It works quite effective.
