To MODs: Please change threadname to Oilpastels
Duchess of Dork
^ Changed. :) Although, I put Oilpastels as both the title and the description of the thread. Please let me know if you'd like that changed.

I can't see the image for some reason either :( More than likely it's something being blocked here at work so I'll check this out (and edit this response) later.

What you surf forums at work? Shame on you gal!

urgent.gif Is there anyone else who can't see the image?

^ shhhhh... It's a secret. shifty.gif

This is lovely, by the way. Reminds me A LOT of Marc Chagal, especially with the red and the cross at the bottom.

Very creative, you really gotta look at it,
not the kinda painting you could just glance at to take in
the essence of it.

My favorite part actually, would have to be the very back.
You kinda swirled some pinks, blues, and whites. . .made somewhat
of a creamy sky. Right below the yellow.
That patch to me is gorgeous.
Allec
So a paper full of that would be very succesfull then?

Oh. That's a beautiful masterpiece! I like all the colors and the designs. I simply love it.

Ugh. I admire your talent. I wish I could do that. LOL. ;)
Allec
Actually I never would've tried painting if it wasn't for Max Payne 2.
medicineforluck
i really like the nice blend of the colors
it 'softens' the drawing

I don't know but it looks like a horizontal view on earth and hell.

The red is a bit much. Maybe you could tone it down with some yellow and/or orange.

Hmm, I like how you have it all set up. Nice job.

I love how vibrant the colors are (yay oils). I find the first one more intriguing, perhaps because there's more going on. The second one has less variety of color, so I'm less drawn to it.

Don't youpeople have anything to post?
mishyerr
If you're going for geometric, abstract, that's cool, I guess.

I'm more of a realism person, so I don't have much to say.

Maybe you could try working with impressionism; oil pastels do great with that.

Is that a burning cross I see? ermm.gif
Allec
No it's just standing there, it migth be blood and soil but not fire.
Gypsy Eyes
I love the colors but it's too messy for my personal taste.

I suggest you to try impressionism as well. Oil pastels look really great with the "long brush strokes" feeling. :)

But however, you did a really good job with the abstract. happy.gif
