Okay, so I was playing chicken today with like five different people (who slap quite hard), and my hand was like this color for about an half an hour. I looked at it some time after, there were a bunch of purple and red spots/blotches... but not a bruise because it doesn't hurt...
Someone said broken capillaries, which sounds very legitimate, but um, when will it go away?

Yes it will. You need to give it time to heal though. One day isn't going to cut it. It's just like a bruise. You can't really do anything about it except learn not to play that game so much next time.

I hadn't played in years. Today I just had the sudden urge to play a recreational game of slapping someone's hand really, really hard. Hah.
My Cinderella.

As much as you want to play...I think that's even bruising on your hand for a while. Let your hands rest.

Yeah, just take it easy on your hands. Sheesh. Haha... friend's shouldn't beat other friends.

Capillaries are the smallest blood vessels in your body, when you cry they break in your eye. Thats why you get red eyes. You'll be fine don't worry.
