i dont know if this belongs here but what i need is feedback SO...
im looking for a good attention grabber or way to start off a speech about Harper Lee (the author of To Kill a Mockingbird). im trying to think of a good way but everything comes out cheesy. any good ideas?

Perhaps something about how there are few people who are able to truly depict daily lives. Or maybe something about how it's the only novel she wrote.

Start off with something in the middle of the plot of To Kill a Mockingbird, something exciting. Get them working and intrested in the essay and talk about how great of an author he was.
