Hey! A lot of girls who go with their friends to prom and do have a great time. I do realize that for some girls going with a date is a big deal. If you're waiting for someone to ask you you may find yourself with no date. If you see someone you're interested in go up and ask them. I know it's a bold move, but sometimes we girls shouldn't be afraid to make the first move. Good Luck!

People who usually have dates, sometimes just go with them and never see them again, that's what goes on at my school, sometimes.

Well, if anything, I think you should just ask a guy friend for the fun of it...what can you lose?

Theres nothing wrong with going with guy friends for a date. Or even a group! I went to my senior prom with a group & I thought if I had a date I would of felt obligated to stay with that date the whole time! & you can't dance with other guys either. Thats the good thing about a group. Dance with whoever, whenever!
Oh...if you don't wanna follow the advice above I guess I can tell you my experience on trying to ask a guy out to be my date. @ 1st like you I wanted a date. The only reason is because I wanted someone to match with me & take that cute couple pic with me. Showing him off was another reason to hehe. Well anyways, I had this junior out(he like 6'1 & a total stud) & then he told me that he would think about & he gave me his cell. So a few days later I get a txt mg from him saying how he couldn't be able to make it for family reasons. I personally thought it was total bs but I wasn't dissapointed.
So I say "group" or a "guy friend date" & party hardy
