I picked this game up around the time that I began learning to play the guitar and since then ive been kinda hooked to it. There is a part two out as well and it is as good if not better than the first. My friends and I challenge each other very often and it has yet to get old for us.

So, I was just wondering if there are any other faux rockers out there that enjoy this game as much as I do.

I own GH1 and GH2 I play expert on both games, GH2 is better in every aspect but I do miss the songs in GH1. I'm a killer guitar hero I play anybody especially my friends cuz they suck haha. but I also play real guitar also which I find it much more easier to play =]

Beat Freebird on expert the day my roomate got it GH1 has good songs too. Only song I can't beat so far is Jordan on Expert.

Word ^ jordan is mad crazy its just like they just added whatever in there and bunched the notes together its stuppid haha. free bird on expert is pretty fun I like playing hangar 18 alot and laid to rest. My fave song in gh2 is thunderhorse even though its not that hard. but songs like SIX and The Light That Blinds are forearm burners.

I've played Guitar Hero II at my friend's house a few times. It was really fun. I love "Sweet Child o' Mine" and "Less Talk More Rokk" in that one. :D

Man I just started playing last night at my friend's party. I am mosdef buying it today...this is exactly what happened with me and DDR.

I already beat all the songs in both of them and my friends are always like "How in the world did you beat Jordan on Expert???" and I'm just sittin there looking confused because I think Six is much harder.

This game gets alot better when you do a pro face-off with 2 people that are pretty good. On the other hand, if competing isnt your thing, there is a co-op mode where one person plays one part and the other guy plays the other. It's usually a Guitar/Bass or Lead/Rhythm thing.

lol six is much easier. Are you nailing Jordan or are you mashing?

Alright let me put it like this, I find Jordan harder to beat, but Six is much harder to 5 star. I have a 5 star on Jordan with like 276k points and my percentage was like 84-88 or so but ive hit like 90+ percent of Six and i still have a 3 star because i cant keep a streak in that song for the life of me.

what the hell haha, Six is much easier than jordan but Six is complicated because its starts off fast and you have to be more precise where when I play Jordan I button mash just the solo parts =]

I should give button mashing a try.

The only hard parts of Jordan are those first three solos, I rarely even miss a note until the bridge before the chorus starts again

Yeah, I'm in the green all the time until the solos, then I try starpowering through, it runs out right at the beginning of another solo and then I fail.

I love this game too. I'm SO glad it's coming to the Wii and Xbox 360 because the geniuses over at Sony made it so they're not compatible with the PS3. I don't think Guitar Hero 3 will be on PS3. Only 360.

Any who, yeah, I'm addicted to it.

Dude that 360 version is gonna be kick ass, you can download new songs and stuff, even get the songs from GH1

My dads girlfriend had a sleep over that I had to help watch all the kids, lets just say at the start of it there was over 15 kids there. One of them brought this game along though and they all played it for a little while. I played it, I suppose it was fun but my fingers aren't at all long enough, which was my main problem when playing real guitar.

It was fun though, I did alright. I missed a couple of things. I didn't like that whole having to pick up the guitar to make more points, since I was sitting down.


I would suggest anyone to play it though.

You can also press the select button....beware though, you would be doing this at the risk of being pretty lame

I dunno, I think it adds more effect to the game when you use the motion activating star power instead of just pressing select..but whatever

I have guitar hero 2, and I'm addicted. I've mastered easy and medium, and I'm starting to get the hang of hard. The guitar solo's are what kill me, though.

Favorite songs = Raw dog, Monkey Wrench, Psychobilly Freakout, Killing in the name of, Them Bones, Woman, Carry on Wayward son, etc

Really? Isn't that the game you gotta purchase a guitar, mic, and drums? And you play a long with it? I saw a demo for PS3 but I don't like it =\

Sorry, there's a game that you have a lil band with, you sing along, do the beats, and strum the cords. It's for the PS3 and it looks really cartoonish.

Ahhh yeah that's it, I downloaded the preview to it on PS3... didn't like it, and just deleted... I didn't memorize the game name :P

I got this game a couple weeks after it came out on stores and it's worth the money. I had so much fun the first couple days of playing and then my fingers started to hurt so i stopped playing. Never touched it again.

i was at GameStop a few weeks ago and they had this on display as one of those "free play demo" things and omfg...i was so bad at it!! i had no idea what i was doing..but as soon as i put it down, another guy came and he was like perfect at it.

and my school hosted a Guitar Hero Tournament in one of our gyms...i kinda wanted to go but never did. :[

I love rock music but i dont have that game though but i always play it in the game shop and its so awesome!

I want this game. A lot...

I pretty much own anyone i play against...but anyway a new guitar hero came out today. It's called Guitar hero encore: rocks the 80's....its like the perfect follow-up and we finally have some maiden on the ps2 version. mine should be here via ups tomorrow....

Anyways. I bought it for the 360 two weeks ago (my cousins were over and they started playing Viva Pinata and somehow talk got around to Guitar Hero and on a whim, we went out at bought it... LOL) and my cousins and I have pretty much been playing it nonstop. I was really horrible at first but after a couple days, I got better. So far, I'm almost done getting 100% on all the easy songs. The mediums are a bit tough for me. And don't even get me started on hard. I hate that orange button. T_T

I can't wait for Guitar Hero III. Though I knew I should have waited for that to get the second guitar since it'll be wireless but eh. I'm excited that you'll be able to play online and use stuff against your opponent in face off mode! :D

Love these games.

I let my friend borrow II, and I'm waiting for him to get it back to me. Once I get it back, I'm going to learn to double tap the solo parts on Jordan.
