Ok, so it seems as if whenever one of my close close friends get their period and start PMSing and getting all pissy, I get pissy along with them. I don't know why. Does anyone else find this true?

I don't know.. I don't get PMS. At least, I don't think so. I think that if friends spend enough time together, though, they end up having their period close to the same time. Weird.

The more time you spend with others, the closer your periods will be. This does not work on boys, sorry.

Girls can develop periods at the same time because of a pheramone (sp?) they supposedly release when they're having their periods. That's what they said in health class anyway. So it happens a lot of the time in dorms and stuff, since they're around each other all the time.

Maybe you get mad at the same time as them because they're being extra grouchy around you, which probably makes you more "pms-y" naturally. So they're like... rah! and you're just RAH right back

Girls who hang out a lot together usually have matching periods b/c they breathe that hormone (mentioned above) through their sweat or something.

Also, I guess if your friends are pissy, it's harder to act happy go-lucky around them. So, the bad mood spreads? :/

I don't hang out with girls very much... but if one of my friends is in a PMSy mood, I'd probably end up the same way simply b/c of irritation.

Well me and my group of girlfriends all have our periods within the same week. So we are all happy a couple of weeks and we get PMSy a week.

lol pheremones are emitted just like smells, and are detected by your olfactory senses (your smelling senses), but you can't actually smell them.

Well, who wants to actually smell them?

What would it smell like? Pinesol, the smell of clean?

Maybe it's just the fact that because they're pissy, they piss you off, and you're pissy, too.
But the pheromones idea sounds cooler.

Once, i spent the night at my friends house, she was on her period, she kept complaining, it was annoying.

Then the next day I got my period, it was a few days sooner.

Then these two friends of mine were on my bus talking about their periods, because they were good friends and both got them within a few hours of eachother, and i got mine about 4 days sooner.

Anyways, my moms period is about a week before mine, so mine keeps getting sooner...

When two or more women live together in the same house, their bodies "read" each other (pheremone sensing?) and their periods tend to arrive at the same time. It didn't used to happen to me and my mom but it did within the last year (2006). She'd get hers a few days after I started mine. It's actually kind of cool how women's bodies can do that except for then we're both PMSing and clash more than usual.

Y'know how people sometimes say that a smile is contagious? Maybe it's that way with the pissiness of PMS?
